What time would you wake up naturally?

Just curious really as I'm knackered but no matter how tired, I rarely sleep past 08 00. I think my natural wake up time is around half seven. I generally go to sleep between 23 00 and midnight.

What are your natural sleeping and waking times?

I’m a night owl. With no alarm, I wake around 11am.

LighthouseLED · 18/12/2025 23:33

When I get time off work and nothing planned I revert to being pretty much nocturnal - go to bed between 4 and 6am and don’t wake before midday, sometimes later.

familyissues12345 · 18/12/2025 23:34

It’s rare that I would sleep through and past 8am. I may wake early, then fall back asleep though. Still would be awake by 9am

Fifthtimelucky · 18/12/2025 23:35

In general I go to sleep soon after midnight and my bladder wakes me up around 6am!

Journeycake · 18/12/2025 23:36

Its going to be all the night owls replying at this time of night 😂
No matter how tired I am I rarely fall asleep before midnight.
When I don't set an alarm for the morning I would wake up around 9.30-10am.

RescueMeFromThisSilliness · 18/12/2025 23:37

Probably about 7.40ish.

whattheysay · 18/12/2025 23:38

I wake up between 5 and 7 depending on what time I fell asleep. It’s better because I used to wake up between 4 and 5
I never used to be like this. I love perimenopause 🙄

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 18/12/2025 23:38

I could easily sleep until afternoon if nothing wakes me.

FancyCatSlave · 18/12/2025 23:39

Without cats wanting breakfast my natural time
is between 8.30 and 9.30 regardless of bedtime.

I can stay awake until late even when tired, given absolutely no commitments I’d do 1am-9am sleep.

Can’t fecking wait to retire tbh!

Pieceofpurplesky · 18/12/2025 23:41

I always wake at about 6 with a need to pee. At the moment I am end of term tired and could probably sleep until Christmas Eve bladder permitting!

IndigoIsMyFavouriteColour · 18/12/2025 23:42

Go to sleep about half twelve/one and wake up around 11am

Drivinghomeforchristmas25 · 18/12/2025 23:43

10pm to 4/5am usually. Spectacularly long and shit day at work for me today, hence I am still up, because I’ve not been home long. I will still be up before 5am tomorrow but i am not working, so an easier day.
I have never, even as a student, slept until noon in my life. I wish I could!

Mathsbabe · 18/12/2025 23:43

8am

ThisAutumnTown · 18/12/2025 23:44

I am a very tired person in general and a heavy sleeper and could easily sleep my life away without meaning to.
A couple of months ago on a Saturday, my husband decided not to wake me up to see when I’d rise and in the end he had to come and get me at 2pm 🫣

isitmytime · 19/12/2025 01:34

my ideal sleep pattern would be 0130 - 0900
in reality I usually get 5hrs of broken sleep and live in constant tiredness.

Tobycarverysquad · 19/12/2025 07:44

07 35 this morning. I actually woke up at 07 05 and was awake for 15 minutes but dozed back off which has made all the difference.

I find it fascinating that we're all so different and I wonder where our "settings" come from and whether they are nature or nurture.

Mine is between 6.30/7 I usually wake up. On a weekday the alarms in the house then start going off at 7.

Purplewarrior · 19/12/2025 07:48

I’m an early bird. I would fall asleep around 9 and get up at six. Lovely nine hours sleep!

SirChenjins · 19/12/2025 07:49

Thanks to the fucking perimenopause it can be anywhere from 3.30 to around 8. More often than not it's earlier rather than later. I've used to be able to sleep uninterrupted for hours, but sadly those days are gone.

ChubbyPuffling · 19/12/2025 07:53

Another early bird... bed at 10.30, up at 6.30... every.single.day. Like the idea of having a lie in, but my body and brain hate me if I do.

Popcorn76 · 19/12/2025 07:53

4 to 4.30am every day and feel exhausted. I go to bed at 9.30pm. On hrt but think hormones are to blame. I wake with a racing heart and no chance of going back to sleep.

Sirzy · 19/12/2025 07:54

My alarm goes off an 6.15 and I am rarely still asleep when it goes off. I very rarely sleep through without waking at least once naturally and twice for ds feeding tube.

Justputsomeyoghurtonit · 19/12/2025 07:55

My alarm went off at 4.45 today and I was wide awake by 4.30.

I go to bed early, I hate staying up late it makes me feel sick.

But that's 7hrs in bed so that's a really good amount of sleep.

Omg I think I love you! I never see anyone else ever admit this, I’m the same! Although I will wake for the loo - but then I’ll be back to sleep. I love it now my kids are teenagers/young adults so I get my weekend lie ins!
