What time would you wake up naturally?

Just curious really as I'm knackered but no matter how tired, I rarely sleep past 08 00. I think my natural wake up time is around half seven. I generally go to sleep between 23 00 and midnight.

What are your natural sleeping and waking times?

I don’t count waking because I need the toilet, I’m up on average twice a night for that.

Are you menopausal? You can use estriol cream for that. Stops the nighttime wees.

doitwithlove · 19/12/2025 10:44

Bed by 10pm, wake between 7.45-8.15am

Zippedydodah · 19/12/2025 10:55

I’m in bed by 8, some nights I get 11 hours sleep, others it’s 3-4 hours. Lucky for me I am retired so it doesn’t bother anyone, least of all me!

For work, 7am with alarm. Naturally, 8-8:30 am.

smallglassbottle · 19/12/2025 11:20

I'm naturally a 2am - 10am person as I have a delayed sleep phase. It's very annoying as I don't like sleeping late and try hard to go to sleep at a normal time and get up earlier.

LostThestral · 19/12/2025 11:23

I'm usually awake around 5 no matter what time I go to bed but do tend to fall asleep quite early. I'm definitely a morning person, absolutely love being awake while the world wakes up around me

Post menupausal. Unfortunately I had to stop using the topical oestrogen following breast cancer. I was a bit taken aback as I thought the amount of oestrogen that got into your ‘system’ was minimal.

Its Been A Long Time Waiting GIF

I have no idea because my kids aren't all about allowing a lie in!

Before we had them it would have been about 9/9:30, which sounds like the dream tbh.

Have a look on the meno boards. This is not the case. You should be allowed to have it.

Early riser here with an alarm set for 5:30am weekdays, bed by 9pm. Weekends maybe 10-6:30, after 7am is very rare.

Sweetpea333 · 19/12/2025 17:59

Twitt twoo night owls! I was a night owl from birth! I come alive at 10pm and slink off to bed anytime between 3-5am (this is good in Winter as it's still dark). I'm naturally up early for a wee then snuggle back down and get up naturally around 1pm. Like someone said, I have the best sleeps in the very early morning and daytime, and am fortunate that I can do this. I travel a lot and adore a long walk in the early hours. Vampiric and quiet!

Bryonyberries · 19/12/2025 18:06

8.30am seems to be my natural wake time if I have nothing waking me artificially.

SpigTheFish · 19/12/2025 18:08

When i was in my twenties, I'd happily sleep in until 10 or 11 but now I'm old, my bladder wakes me at 7.

I'm at my most perky between 4 pm and 1 am. Very inconvenient!

Chinsupmeloves · 19/12/2025 18:17

Apart from wee in the early hours probably about 9am naturally. However, alarm clock is 6.45am week/work days but at weekend 9am. After a night drinking with no disturbances sometimes after 11am but this doesn't happen anymore! X

SushiDisco · 19/12/2025 18:19

Doesn’t matter what time I go to bed I always wake up between 5-6am

Chinsupmeloves · 19/12/2025 18:22

I have a friend who always gets up at 5am, her parents the same, no matter what time they go to bed!

CecilwashingtonIdontliketolose · 19/12/2025 18:30

4-4.30 am DW getting up time before taxi to work at 5.15 am.

amber763 · 19/12/2025 18:35

Sometime between 10 and 11am in the winter. Earlier in the summer, maybe around 9.30

Trotula · 19/12/2025 18:41

When it starts getting lighter. All relative. And I’m old, so probably 5am in the summer and 8pm in the winter.
I really never noticed the change
in light levels when I was young and working but now I’m retired …
