What time would you wake up naturally?

Just curious really as I'm knackered but no matter how tired, I rarely sleep past 08 00. I think my natural wake up time is around half seven. I generally go to sleep between 23 00 and midnight.

What are your natural sleeping and waking times?

I'm the same as you, 7-7.30am. Doesn't make any difference if I have a late night out and go to bed at 2am which is a bit annoying

ConnieHeart · 19/12/2025 08:00

I'd probably go to bed around 11 & wake up around 8. But with work etc it's usually an hour earlier for both. Plus I'm often awake for about an hour in the night

Tillow4ever · 19/12/2025 08:01

Wow, I can’t believe how many other night owls are on this thread! I always thought I was a weird outlier for sleeping til 11am or later at a weekend. It’s rare I’m asleep before 3 or even 4am at a weekend, but that’s because I weirdly sleep better during the morning hours than I do during the night.

YellowCherry · 19/12/2025 08:02

I don't set an alarm and I wake up around 7am.

Forever1973 · 19/12/2025 08:02

My sleep cycle is heavily influenced by daylight hours. In summer I tend to wake at 6am or even earlier and be ready to get up. This time of year, left to my own devices, it's more like 8:30am when I feel ready to drag myself out of my warm cocoon of a bed. My 'normal working day' weekday alarm is set for 7am year round but in summer I am usually up long before that. I tend to go to bed around 10pm but it's rare I fall asleep much before midnight.

AgnesX · 19/12/2025 08:04

It's my bladder that dictates my getting up time so the clock change is a complete pain. Generally around 6.30am. I've always been an early bird though.

Mikart · 19/12/2025 08:05

5 am

WinterBerry40 · 19/12/2025 08:11

My naturally is because I need a wee . Today is was 4.20am and yesterday around 4.50 , it also takes ages to go back to sleep , and I'm convinced it's not proper sleep as well .

Fridaysgirl17 · 19/12/2025 08:12

Im always awake between 5 30 & 6:30, it might stretch to 7, no matter what time I sleep or how I'm awake during the night,I just naturally wake at that time

GivingUpFinally · 19/12/2025 08:14

I haven't a clue anymore. 2 kids who don't sleep.

herbalteabag · 19/12/2025 08:21

About 8.30. And I'd go to bed around midnight -1am.

Fernsrus · 19/12/2025 08:25

Any time between 7-8.30, on balance nearer 8.00.

ABeerInTheSunshineMakesMeHappy · 19/12/2025 08:34

I normally get off to sleep between midnight and one am and wake around 9.30 am. But if I’m going somewhere in the morning then I set my alarm just in case. I’m no longer working, have no young children and my dog is happy with a lie-in (although he does have me up in the night).

I don’t count waking because I need the toilet, I’m up on average twice a night for that.

EasternStandard · 19/12/2025 08:39

Between 6.30 and 8.00, although the latter is rare. I usually wake earlier in summer.

ViciousCurrentBun · 19/12/2025 08:39

@FancyCatSlave I have retired now and tend to go to bed at 1 and wake naturally between 8 and 9.30.

ABeerInTheSunshineMakesMeHappy · 19/12/2025 08:39

Justputsomeyoghurtonit · 19/12/2025 07:55

But that's 7hrs in bed so that's a really good amount of sleep.

7 hours in bed does not equal 7 hours sleep. And some people need more sleep than others- that’s the point of this thread .

Davros · 19/12/2025 08:41

Agreed, my super power is going BACK to sleep so wee breaks don’t count. I usually go to sleep 11.30pm-midnight and wake around 8.00am-8.30am. I might have an afternoon kip if plans allow

DoBeGoodDontBeBad · 19/12/2025 08:54

I'll let you know tomorrow. Last day of work for 2 weeks today yey!

Lostsoultrip · 19/12/2025 08:56

11.30pm, 2am, 5am and 6.30am

vanillalattes · 19/12/2025 08:59

With no alarm, around 8am is my natural waking time.

cathyj77 · 19/12/2025 09:04

I’m neither a lark nor an owl but something in between. If it weren’t for work, I’d go to sleep around midnight and wake 8-9. This is what I do in the holidays and at weekends wherever possible!

purplespink · 19/12/2025 09:06

6:30am 😭

Cheersmedears123 · 19/12/2025 09:26

Left to my own devices, I’d go to sleep at 11pm and wake up at 9am. I realise it’s a lot of sleep but my bed is my favourite place!

user46256728992 · 19/12/2025 09:30

Just as it’s getting light. Fine in winter, bit annoying in the summer! Go to sleep about 10/11pm.
I absolutely hate the clocks changing, spring and autumn - it really really upsets my auras or something, feel discombobulated for days!
