Please can someone explain the attraction / obsession with this young man? I just don’t get it?!

Don’t… Although that interview on Graham Norton, he was saying that he didn’t want them to cut his hair that short!
I reckon he’ll grow it back as soon as he can, here’s hoping!!

It's wild how much heavy lifting the hair was doing! As I said, not my type at all, but I could see he was attractive aesthetically. The short hair makes him look much more average.

Leo has not matured nicely IMO. Too much lolling around on yachts and sun.

Chalamet seems like a bright lad, except his dalliance with the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

I think it's the Kylie Jenner thing that partially puts me off. I'm sorry but she looks like a literal blow up doll. I also think that there are many equally if not more talented artists than Chalamet, I feel he is being shoved down our throats.

Kylie Jenner has made him lose a lot of fans. I really think she and her family have 'bad energy' about them, they are known for being very in with Diddy and have allegedly done lots of scams etc to make them rich and famous. They have their claws in Timothee and I really think it's because he's A list. He needs to be wiser but we all know what dumb men are like. I just hope he doesn't end up washed up like all their other men.

I love him! Not in a sexual/romantic way, I just think he is lovely and talented. I really enjoy looking at him, if you know what I mean. I saw him for the first time in Beautiful Boy (knew nothing of him) and he was mesmerising and literally beautiful.

CottonCandyLand · 26/12/2025 22:42

I'm in my 50s but when the Chanel Bleu ad with him comes on I'm 15 all over again.

If you don’t like a pretty face, then you’ll never get it. I was never into the really masculine men… I always preferred slim pretty boys

I just don’t think he’s very pretty.
Each to their own eh.

Interesting article about him in today’s Daily Mail ( I won’t link it), essentially describing him as arrogant and cocky etc etc.

Freysimo · 27/12/2025 07:51

I didn't get it either until I saw him as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown. He is very charismatic. Went off him when read he was dating a Kardashian.

Moaningminnieagain · 27/12/2025 08:28

I think leo knows his brand so you wouldn't see him alongside a kardashian much. If TC wins the Oscar now, everyone will think they bought him the award

LoudSnoringDog · 27/12/2025 08:33

He’s definitely being “Kardashianed”

Ok liking him more now if TDM are annoyed by him 👍👏

Not really, it's more anti-Kardashian than anything.

I've been a fan since the get go. And I am old, but I totally get the charm. He's very natural on red carpets and what nots, and has a wicked sense of humour - went to his own 'lookalike' competition, always joking around with his costars.
Call Me by Your Name was a phenomenal turn. He was only 22 ! He also played all the piano parts himself, and learned to speak Italian obvs. He has an impressive work ethic and does not come across as diva / manboy. All of his films have been very different and he goes in very deep with the role. I loved Ladybird too, Beautiful Boy was heartbreaking. I was a bit dismayed with the Kardashian hook up as well but he seems to be in for the long haul and of course it's entirely personal 🤷‍♀️

LindaMcCartney · 27/12/2025 19:46

@Aintgointogoa have you seen his interview with Scott Mills, he’s so adorable, talking about his love of the Cotswolds and Sunday Roasts, and his table tennis practise and his got such glowy skin and he looks so nice with his cropped hair, I think he’s so ‘cuddleable’ but in a ‘grandma’ way ❤️

Aintgointogoa · 27/12/2025 19:56

@LindaMcCartney no I haven't seen that ! I'll check it out, thanks ! Assume I can find Scott Mills via my trusty vpn. Timothėe has such a European sensibility imo, he doesn't have the often grating sense of self American artists can demonstrate (sweeping generalisation and looking at you, Leo) I am very happy to know he likes Sunday Roasts ! I think / imagine he would be a right laugh and always muck in at a family 'do'. He did take his mum to the Oscar's and always credits his parents for their support. I actually find him a bit more than cuddleable but at my age I'll keep that to myself 🤣

LindaMcCartney · 27/12/2025 20:03

@Aintgointogoa

Here you go hope that works !x

i didn’t really know anything about him, then I watched a complete unknown and he just blew my mind how fantastic he was playing Bob and I have loved him ever since ❤️

@LindaMcCartney that's amazing ! I really enjoyed that. Plus I didn't know that Scott Mills was such an excellent presenter. I did drift off R2 after Terry as couldn't bear the shouty people. Went all adulty on R4. I think SM is cool !
TC as always enthusing so much about the project, and he always bigs up his team first and foremost. I loved that Kurt of TFF made a tribute. Anecdote : I worked with TFF when they were signed to a record label, and oh my days I lived and breathed that first album for at least a year. I think it is very true that their music will live on as long as there are people to hear it. But I couldn't listen to it for months after release, saturation point (obvs I do now !) And TC cognisant of the power of their music. He's very respectful of craft. Learning table tennis in his big NY loft during Covid 🤯 OK will stop gushing ....❤️
