Please can someone explain the attraction / obsession with this young man? I just don’t get it?!

He's such a squeaky little dweeb, isn't he? Plus I think his talent is greatly overrated. He was good in CMBYN but otherwise I don't think he is anything outstanding.

He's of the same type as Tobey Maguire/Macauley Culkin to me which is to say tremendously talented actor with looks/stature that isn't typical Hollywood leading man...but more attractive guy next door vibe. Super watchable. He also seems nice in the couple of interviews I've heard this week.

I never gave him thought but I was so impressed by his Wonka. I love Gene Wilder in the original and two feel that TC was an excellent cast. I now would watch something because he is in it, there is something charismatic about him.

I think he is a smashing actor. Versatile, and comes across as a nice guy when interviewed.

I saw him with Emma Thompson on Graham Norten and was surprised by his lack of cultural références ( Samson) and the way he misread her story in Love Actually. But he was really disarming and you could tell Emma wanted to give him a cuddle.
He was also wearing an anorak.

Where do you live that you think he's super hot? Have you seen him lately with the short hair? The curls were doing a LOT of heavy lifting.

I think a petition might need to be started to bring back his curls.
Although he might agree and is just waiting for them to grow back....

He was never my type, but I could see how he could be seen as good looking when he had the curls and also the more flamboyant style of dress. Now he is cosplaying as Ali-G he just looks absurd and as I say very ferrety. The sight of him with Kylie in those day-glo orange outfits was a sight to behold, and not in a good way. He looked like a barnacle clinging to her and she looked beyond cheap.

He's incredibly ambitious - he's chasing Oscars. And Jenner is ambitious too. So I see that as a shared interest for them.

If you've ever seen the youtube vids of him when he was at stage school, you can see that ambition too. I think he's very smart and probably a little obnoxious. But definitely interesting.

I didn’t say super-hot, just very pretty. Certainly the current hair is a bit nasty, but I don’t set much store by passing hairstyles - much more interested in well employed intelligence.

I’ll resist the temptation to google unpleasant things he’s reported to have said.

What has his intelligence to do with whether you think he is more attractive than a 'boy next door' type?

Was great in Wonka, Beautiful Boy, and as Bob Dylan.
On Graham Norton sofa with Cher, Julia Roberts etc. he said was the least famous person at the party, even though he’s an Oscar nominee.
Friends with Adam Sandler.
Is pretty rather than handsome and rocks a wacky outfit.
Seemed genuinely interested in Emma Thompson.
Said he loves the Hull accent; comedy gold.
Chooses left field parts, learning guitar and table tennis, and seems to want to excel.
All green flags for me!

@ItsmeMargo he will be like Robert Downey Jr, almost too pretty and perfect but has matured into a very attractive man, I think.

Don’t… Although that interview on Graham Norton, he was saying that he didn’t want them to cut his hair that short!
I reckon he’ll grow it back as soon as he can, here’s hoping!!
