Adverts that you hate!

I’ve fallen down a rabbit hole watching The Dog House on YouTube which I love but nearly every advert is for the Google Pixel 10 which compares iPhones to Ice Cream and it sings Sugar Town by Nancy Sinatra which is lodged in my head now and doing my head in. I’d never get a Google phone now, argh!

Oh god yes the Hoo Hoo adverts!

Any advert that involves a bed with absolutely no bedding or pillowcases on it, particularly the one where the ignorant woman knocks over her partners cracker tower. Perfume ads - it’s not scratch and sniff tv you know!

The very creepy Audi advert where they sing ' I like to move it" Just weird.

I avoid most of them now as I don’t watch much live tv but when MAFS was on, that annoying couple on the TUI advert holidaying together. She was so smug 🤣 that bit where she got a massive 5 person dessert from the buffet and he tried to share and she goes all high pitched and whines errrrnoismineokayyyy?

The British Heart one "you weren't meant to" etc. It's her voice. I'm sorry. I know it's an important charity and it's a loving message and all that but I have to mute it. So whiny.

The Grinch at Asda, Dawn French, The BFG, that fucking carrot, can all fuck right off.

I love the Keira Knightly one though, strangely.

That one with Keira Knightley & Joe Wilkinson is getting a bit tiresome but at least she admits now that the cue cards scene in Love Actually was very creepy

I always thought they weren’t allowed to say more than a word as they then got paid as actors. So she does it weirdly as all one word. .
Could be talking absolute bollocks though.

The Domino’s one really annoys me. Especially the hedgehog. We need more understanding of native wildlife, not talking hedge pigs that crave pizza.

The current Asda Christmas advert is pathetically bad. It’s the one with a bloke in a crap Grinch costume. I can’t imagine what their marketing team were thinking when they signed it off. No wonder Asda is struggling so badly.

I understand that I’m probably not in Asda’s target market, so it’s not aimed at me, but whoever it is aimed at, it’s still embarrassingly crap.

The Pandora advert with the kid buying his mum a Pandora piece of jewellery. The kid is about 9. Totally wrong to encourage a kid to buy his mum such an expensive gift imo.

Also Fairy seem to be running two opposing campaigns.

One where you can put anything you like in the dishwasher and their capsules will clean it - you don't even have to look at the resulting dishes.

Another one advertising a booster spray to help clean your dishes where the capsules fail.

I don’t like the Pandora one.

I don't watch TV but I listen to podcasts on Spotify and there's an ad for Shopify, the lady sounds depressed and I LOATHE when she says "entrepreneur" I hate that word with a passion.

100% agree but my bloody mother thinks it's great! She's probably their target market.
