It's advent for the Playmobil people in our house...

...and so every day between now and Christmas I'll be bringing you some scenes of what they are getting up to during advent.

Today Marta is helping Matthias put up the Christmas decorations. She puts the last bauble on the tree.

Ben is delivering parcels.

He has a parcel for Geraint at number 27.

He rings the doorbell at number 8.

The whole family answer the door, including Bruno the dog.

There is a parcel for Svenja too! The postal workers have had a busy day!

I've had a nice evening ringing bells, followed by drinking beer (not Playmoland blue wine!).

My guess first guess for tomorrow is parents busy wrapping presents - perhaps some of the things in the parcels that have been delivered. My second guess is children attending Christmas activities at their Saturday morning clubs (both of these things will be happening for my household tomorrow!)

Can you change the outfits on Playmobil people or are they always dressed the same? I was wondering if Beverly is always a postal worker or whether she could attend another event in different attire?

I think they would be visiting a Christingle service .

@Misstabithabean most Playmo people can't change their whole outfit, although some of them with the right hairstyles can change hats, some have bare feet to which you can add slip-on sandals, and there are a few clip-on cloaks which can be added.

Some of the women though (including Svenja) come with just underwear, and can wear some of the clip-on dresses and skirts. And a few girls can wear the rubbery skirts or dresses.

If I wanted to portray Beverley in a different outfit I would have to find another Playmo woman with the same facial features but in a different outfit, and then transfer her hair over. All hair is removable in Playmo adults, but not in the children.

You can see I have thought about this all far too much!

I love the details of who comes with what clothes and what is and is not interchangeable! 😄

Seems a bit unfair that the likes of Svenja gets to wear lots of different outfits to fit the occasion but poor Beverley can never go to the ball!

This is true @Westfacing , but the downside of the clip-on dresses is you can't sit down in them, so Beverley can sit down any time she likes, but Svenja has to take off her dress and can only sit down in her underwear!

This year there are Santa's sleigh rides. Father Christmas leads the rides, and you get to see some lovely scenery and wildlife! Ulrike has taken Klara and Friedrich. They have chosen a festive red sleigh, pu;;ed by a single reindeer. They see some mice and badgers.

They also see some little birds.

Matthias, Emil and Franz have chosen the green sleigh with snowflakes on, pulled by two reindeer. They see some charming squirrels.

The white rabbits are almost camouflaged in the snow.

Gisela, Jutta and Frieda are in the large red sleigh, pulled by a single reindeer.
