It's advent for the Playmobil people in our house...

...and so every day between now and Christmas I'll be bringing you some scenes of what they are getting up to during advent.

Today Marta is helping Matthias put up the Christmas decorations. She puts the last bauble on the tree.

They arrive in Bethlehem and present their gifts. The children have had a lovely time performing in the nativity.

Oh I love a proper nativity play. Well done Playmoers.

SO lovely - I really like the fact they have real sheep rather than the children who can't be trusted dressed up in white! I'm sure that's because all the playmo children are very independent and can remember their lines.

And a cow and a donkey!
They must be very gentle. I expect they belong to a local farmer.

Love the nativity with the costume malfunctions!

What lovely well behaved children. Most nativities I’ve been to have had someone crying, someone waving to their mum in the audience and someone with their finger up their nose!

Today the Duke and Duchess of Waterbury are hosting their annual Christmas charity ball.

First to arrive are Aubyn and Lavinia.

The Waterburys greet Rufus and Margot.

Zuleika, Alfreda and Hermione enjoy a glass of blue wine.

Osric and Blake have chosen red wine.

Simeon, Jasper and Josiah are having a bit of a catch up.

"Cheers!" say Serena and Zenobia.
