It's advent for the Playmobil people in our house...

...and so every day between now and Christmas I'll be bringing you some scenes of what they are getting up to during advent.

Today Marta is helping Matthias put up the Christmas decorations. She puts the last bauble on the tree.

Back home from the concert, which went ok. One of my band friends has a dd (aged 9) who loves Playmobil, and they have been round to my house a couple of times to play with some of mine! I post my Playmo scenes on Fb as well as on here, and the friend had been following with interest. She wondered whether she should comment on some of my photos, so I assured her that any comments would be very welcome. It's great to get feedback, and sometimes you get new ideas for a future project (next year we might see road gritters/snow ploughs)!

Honestly I think their market is better than my local one, I want to go to theirs! 😆

@thejadefish I often want to go to the Playmo version of events rather than the RL one!

@SoMuchToBits I've only just found this today. But have spent a very enjoyable 20 minutes catching up with the latest adventures in Playmo land. Great to have a other advent event to read.

The food looks delicious! Agreeing with everyone else that Playmo portions are massive!

I think the main reason that Playmo portions are massive is the logistics of getting the food to fit into the Playmo hands!

I assumed it was just that your metabolism works differently if you are human size to if you are two and a half inches high and made of plastic.

Today Norman the Foreman's mates are helping him put up his Christmas tree. Bossy Ross is directing operations with his megaphone.

Hooray! Norman and Co.

"Right a bit!" says Len. "Left a bit!" says Brian.

Brian switches the lights on.

That was thirsty work. "Time for a cuppa!" says Len.

Len gets out the biscuits to go with the tea.

After all that tea drinking there's a bit of a queue for the portaloo.

Meanwhile Nicklaus is out on Beany Hill patrolling in his snowmobile.

He spots a rather forlorn looking dog.

"I recognise that dog!" he says. It's Apollo the sausage-snaffling dog. "Probably done a runner after nicking some sausages and got lost!" says Nicklaus.

Nicklaus picks up Apollo and takes him home to his owners.

Good to see the portaloo - Mumsnetters don't like workmen using their bathroom!

Yay Apollo! Hope he got some sausages to warm up.
