Side hustles that make you money

Anyone have a side hustle that makes decent money? By decent I mean NMW or above, not £50 a month on Etsy selling crocheted hats.

Thanks for sharing but after looking into it properly this appears to be for LiveGood, which is an MLM-style business model.

A lot of the marketing around it focuses heavily on recruitment and building a downline rather than selling products to genuine customers, which is why many people are cautious about it.

It’s also currently under investigation by New Zealand’s Commerce Commission over concerns that its structure and practices resemble a pyramid scheme.

I think people should be really careful before paying any joining fees or recruiting others into something like this, especially when the advertising tends to be vague and income-focused rather than transparent about how the business actually works.

I write training material on the side and also carry out internal audits for both finance and governance of local authorities - keeps me very busy in April, May and June and always pays for a 2 week all inclusive abroad holiday for 6 of us in July/August!

I started using AttaPoll which is a survey app. I tried a few but never stuck to it and this one was referred to me on here so I tried it. I’ve been using it since November last year and I’ve made about £400 since.
its boring surveys if im honest but I personally never do one thats more then say 15 minutes. Sometimes a survey can kick you out after you’ve spent a few minutes on it as you don’t fit the profile needed for that particular survey, that can be annoying. But it’s a good thing to do when chilling in front of the tv or something.

here’s my referral code if anyone wants to give it a go, you get a start up £0.40 as do I lol!

I’m inviting you to join AttaPoll. Get paid to take surveys. Download the app here: https://attapoll.app/join/kdzgg

With the survey apps, have you worked out what the hourly pay rate is? I tried them all when I was desperate and they were alll very well below minimum wage. They made me extremely cross for that reason. These people are scraping your data for slave wages (IMHO)

ohnonowwhat1 · 08/05/2026 22:48

the survey apps doesn’t earn enough imo like a salary. I guess it depends how much you use it. On AttaPoll I made £70 in April and over £100 in March but for example in January I made £28. I didn’t use it as much. It definitely should only be seen as a side hustle and nothing more. I started using it when desperate for cash and when my cash flow isn’t so bad I still try and use the app to build up so when I am desperate again I’ve got a bit in there. Also they let you withdraw from £2.50 and pay goes into my bank account within hours

I tried a number of the survey apps recommended here and so many of them I got half way through the survey and then was told I wasn't suitable or it just closed. It was causing me stress in the end, wasn't worth the few extra pounds.

Can I ask how much you charge per party?

Another vote for Prolific surveys

I've also been Matched Betting and low risk casino for 7 years now which I can just do watching telly in the evening

I also do food tasting locally and that's £20-£40 and a free lunch. Although sometimes that lunch is 6 sponge puddings
