Between 5:30 and 6 with ds most days maybe once a week I'll sit and have a cup of tea with him and then have my dinner later, DH works late twice a week so has his later on those days. Pre ds we used to eat around 8 sometimes later!

GrannyTeapot · 17/11/2025 21:59

5.30pm all my life.

GentleSheep · 17/11/2025 22:01

Usually between 6:30 - 7 p.m.

OopsieeDaisy · 17/11/2025 22:01

Between 7:30/8 once the kids are in bed.

FoxRedPuppy · 17/11/2025 22:02

Between 12 and 1. We have tea any time between 5 and 6.30pm

SummerInSun · 17/11/2025 22:05

8pm with DH and DS1 aged 12. DS2 aged 8 has dinner at 6pm made by our after school helper before we get home from work, but might have a last snack (eg fruit) with the rest of us while we eat. He still likes “kid food” ie fairly plain things whereas 12 year old DS will eat what DH and I eat as long as it’s not too spicy.

Growlybear83 · 17/11/2025 22:05

We usually eat around 8.30, sometimes a bit later.

5.30pm all my life.

For those who eat dinner at what I would think of as afternoon tea time (5:30-6pm), do you then have a snack / supper later? Or are you going from then to breakfast time without eating? And would you have had any afternoon tea/snack between lunch and dinner?

Fgfgfg · 17/11/2025 22:07

About 12.30 - 1.
Tea is about 7 - 8 pm.

AllTheChaos · 17/11/2025 22:08

I usually have a snack at about 3:40/4, dinner at 6 then nothing till lunch at 12:30 the next day. I’ve never liked breakfast.

LarryIsMyRomanEmpire · 17/11/2025 22:09

Around 6pm, but not set in stone and can be up to 9, particularly in summer.

Hdpr · 17/11/2025 22:11

Anywhere between 6pm and 9pm

CrispShirt · 17/11/2025 22:13

Eightish, though it’s a pretty moveable feast depending on what everyone’s up to.

Redrosesposies · 17/11/2025 22:16

About 1 o'clock if we have any. Soup probably because Winter is coming.
Tea is usually 5.30pm

We're from the North

Harveysabrina · 17/11/2025 22:16

Normally around 9:30 ish can go an hour either way

popcornandpotatoes · 17/11/2025 22:16

Around 6 on weeknights. Friday and Saturday we like to eat after DD has gone to bed so about 8-8.30

RaraRachael · 17/11/2025 22:17

6 or 6.30 depending on which shift OH is working.

Deadringer · 17/11/2025 22:17

We always ate dinner all together at about 6pm, even when the dc were very small. Its creeping towards 7 now that they are all teens/grown up.
