For those who eat dinner at what I would think of as afternoon tea time (5:30-6pm), do you then have a snack / supper later? Or are you going from then to breakfast time without eating? And would you have had any afternoon tea/snack between lunch and dinner?

No, I don't snack again in the evening. I will have a herbal tea later on in the evening but I try to give my body a total break from food for at least 14 hours. We're not designed to snack all day and it's much better for my digestion to eat a good few hours before I go to bed.

  1. I don’t feel hungry at 1730, but I have a late lunch and don’t eat breakfast.

Currently on maternity leave so I'm another one for 5/5:30 with the kids, DH eats with us if he's wfh, and not in a call, otherwise heats it up when he's home - we like to eat together when we can and neither of us can be bothered to cook again once the kids are asleep. We tend to have a yogurt once they've gone to bed if I fancy something else, DH often makes toast later on. Not sure how it will work once I'm back at work.

Am I the only northerner here?

When I used to eat Dinner it was midday.
Tea was at 5pm.
It's the northern law. 😁

Im a northerner and this was me growing up! I had to adapt my language when I moved away as no one knew what I was talking about. I still eat midday meal at 12 and prefer evening meal at 5. 'Supper' for us was a slice of toast before bed
