It's time 🎵🎶 well nearly, 2 hours and change until it drops. It should be 10.30.
Its my favourite time of year but as usual I will probably be useless and depend heavily on mumsnetters for help to decipher.

I searched and couldn't find another thread if there's one already up and running ill delete this.

Edited for proper link

Final two for me to go are the Minnie Tree and the seas books. Can’t for the life of me figure out the tree one despite people’s clues… thanks so much for everyone’s help though!

The tree belongs to Minnie …. Say it out loud.

Just the dragon to go. I think I know it's not the obvious book title, but I can't find it and it's driving me mad. Any help would be gratefully received!

Scandi series, been adapted as a film.

There is a contradiction in than in the other book she is a clue to she is an adult female but in this clue it suggests she is under 16.

How many books about bodies of water are there? Instead of using the plural use the singular the required number of times.

SewDarnStitch · 14/11/2025 11:39

Ahh finally huge thank you everyone 🙏

Thank you! 👏This title is what I first thought of but kept being knocked back - must have been misspelling something. All done now! Thanks to everyone for all the brilliant clues - it's much more fun doing this on Mumsnet.

Use the apostrophe of possession: name's tree 😁

I always double check titles if I get to that stage and make sure I'm not putting 'a' instead of 'the' or similar. I was stuck on one a few years ago and the title was very slightly different to how I had remembered it and it drove me mad (along the lines of aren't v are not). I was looking at everyone's clues and thinking but it's not that, I've tried that. It was absolutely infuriating.

ApolloandDaphne · 14/11/2025 12:30

Completed it! Thanks for those who provided clues.

Seasonal books, calendar and mug.
I’ve tried putting the days of the week in, can’t think of a word that means a gap in time in a foreign language.

The mug is a book by an author who's work about 'everyday folk' was a big TV adaptation a couple of years ago.

The seasons is the period of four seasons that someone spent not working hard or exerting themself.

The calender is the word for the part of the day that is ticked every day and the type of day that are ticked twice.

TheBirches · 14/11/2025 12:50

The seasons are a bit of a red herring. If you added the four seasons together, what would you get? That's your key word. And then think about the activities described on these book spines - they're not exciting, jam-packed adrenaline-filled holidays, they're more ...?

BestIsWest · 14/11/2025 12:54

Grrrr I’m sure I’d tried the mug one before! Anyway got it and the seasons one now so thanks. Just the calendar to go!

BestIsWest · 14/11/2025 12:56

Got them all now! Never heard of that calendar one though.

karenhw1 · 14/11/2025 13:00

The Cat - what is a cat to a witch
the sea books - it's exactly that, twice (an Iris Murdoch novel)

goingsoftinthead · 14/11/2025 13:02

try typing in what you wrote ....

Look at the name on his collar and he's looking up at his owner with an expression of...? (And think of the most famous book of all time with a protagonist with the same name as the pup).

I am stumped by this one!
