It’s made by my auntie, sorry. Second best is, as others have said - definitely Fortnum and Mason’s!

Bought some jam from Chatsworth (but haven't tried their marmalade) and it was really really good.
I have made my own marmalade and was surprised at how easy and delicious it was. Very hard to cut the shreds though so better if you like it chunkier.

If you use the method where you cook the fruit whole, the peel is easier to cut.

I've tried lots of fancy ones but my favourite is M&S Mandarin Marmalade.

If you have a food processor with a ‘slicer’ blade, it can be used to cut peel for marmalade. Mine also has a simple ‘juicer’ attachment for oranges, so I juice the Seville oranges, add the juice to the water for boiling up the peel, then pass the peels through the slicer attachment.

It’s not millimetre perfect, but it’s good enough and VERY quick.

Not helpful for this Christmas, but homemade is the best! Maybe buy him a preserving pan instead? I get Riverford's marmalade kit in January/February and it makes fabulous marmalade.

Yes homemade is best! Especially with Riverford organic seville oranges ❤️🍊 just finished our second batch x

January is the exact time for making marmalade as that’s when the Seville oranges are available. I make it some years, or buy the oranges and freeze them for when I need to. Both work well.
