Dh and I are having raspberry Pannecotta and I commented this is one of my favourite desserts

Top Danish Risalamand (rice dish with a cherry sauce)
Eton mess -I just love this
Joint thired. Raspberry pannecotta and Creme bruele

Dh was surprised I didnt add pie and custard but Im.not a great pastry fan. (Though I do love Waitrose cherry pie)

Whata everyone elses view?

Having lived in Copenhagen for a couple of years the risalmande was my downfall - my favourite desert ever!!! I’m sure I put 2 stone on there purely on that and also the various amazing offerings from Lagkagehuset

Eton mess
Apple or Rhubarb crumble and vanilla ice cream or custard if that's all you've got.
Profiteroles
I too have eaten rice pudding out of the tin.

@Enko first Xmas we were there it was lockdown (2020) , I bought 2 huge tubs of it in Meny ( had never tried it before) and then my son and FIL suddenly were banned from flying to Copenhagen from UK ( as was anyone) 3 days before Xmas - I ended up eating 2 huge tubs over 4 days totally to myself as my H doesn’t like rice pudding at all

When I first moved to CPH I didn’t quite get the Risalamande hype but 5 years in I think I’ll have it for breakfast today 😂

It doesn’t make my top 3 thoigh

  1. Banoffee pie (proper with slices of banana NOT banana flavoured cream. V important. )
  2. Friends tarte tatain (she has a secret spice blend like she’s the KFC colnel and it’s BONKERS good!) with creme anglaise
  3. Sticky toffee pudding and custard (preferably hot sponge and cold custard!)
