How to stop disgusting photos on Facebook feed

I am sick of revolting photos on the top feed of Facebook. They are just random suggested posts and are stomach churning. I am so disturbed by them I want to close my account. I don’t know how to turn them off.

What photos? Is it to do with your cookies?

go through which accounts you are following and then unlike, unfollow and block them.

Don't click anything like that. You can "snooze" accounts for 30 days etc etc

But. You only get things on SM based on algorithms. So be careful what you look at

Same here. Really freaky and awful pictures.
Deformed babies, really huge people etc etc.
No idea how to get rid. Are they better when your not using the app.

The bit that shows stories from your friends? You need to unfollow the people posting them.

No not friends. No one I’m following . Just random photos.

I think the OP means the facebook shorts videos? The algorithm for them is odd, mine are all AI generated shark attacks O_o

I made a thread about this a few weeks ago. It’s not stuff you follow or friends it’s suggested stuff and it drives me mad. I was seeing dead babies and animals it was horrendous, still am I just go on there less now

I don't get anything like that - it will be because of something you've clicked on somewhere so every time you see unpleasant images you need to click hide and 'not interested'. Check your groups and liked pages to see if any have been taken over by AI or bots posting clickbait spam - this is a thing that happens and will wreck your algorithm.

I have noticed this in the last week and I don't follow anyone,like anyone or even have many friends so don't know why they started. Some are disgusting

Do you mean reels? Videos? I don’t have anything above my feed except friends stories.

I get them too and I was going to come here and ask how to get rid of them, but it seems difficult to do this.

You need to look at what you are following. And settings I think.

which ones are you talking about? The top ones are reels etc posted by accounts you are friends with or follow or have liked and are directly related to the algorithm

The one below is the algorithm giving you what it thinks you want.

i only use the mobile version to post pictures, or make a post, or looking at memories. Otherwise i use the laptop version where you can choose Feeds -> Friends and only see what your friends post.

at this stage the App or the mobile version are pretty unuseable

Mine are all things I’ve interacted with before. Sweaty Betty, a comedian I watched a video of, a paint advert, a performance of a group I follow.

Not as easy as that, they still keep coming even after you've clicked not interested.
Why on earth do.ppl.makes these reels and think ppl want to see them.
Only thing I can do is scroll very fast if I think ones coming.
