"haven’t heard it, but I heard it was standard negotiation" Is this the new "I don't know that person"? Either that or someone needs to explain (in toddler-speak) that just because you don't have the ability to comprehend large words something that doesn't mean you didn't hear it.
Re the KY whooping cough 'problem'. When I went to get my flu and covid boosters it was very sternly stressed to me that I was overdue due for the Tdap shot and needed to get it right away because 'adults need to protect children from Pertussis' which was news to me. I have a feeling that this might be tied in some way to lower vaccination rates in children. If parents are going to be stupid and not vaccinate their children, it behooves anyone who might be a potential vector of infection to do what they can to prevent spreading that infection.
