wordywitch · 25/10/2025 22:15

Bag in, water, steep for 3-4 minutes, bag out (no squeezing), sugar in, milk in, stir.

Waitaminutewheresmejumper · 25/10/2025 22:16

Milk in first, then tea (or milk then bag then water).

bloodredfeaturewall · 25/10/2025 22:16

Tiebiter · 25/10/2025 22:17

Is this the new Life in the UK test?

StrumpersPlunkett · 25/10/2025 22:19

you been watching 'The Wheel?'

all options were wrong..

1 bag per person and one for the pot...
hot water into pot
4+ minute brew

milk in cup
pour tea into cup

Cynic17 · 25/10/2025 22:20

I don't, because it's a disgusting drink, but aren't you supposed to make it in a pot?

thistimelastweek · 25/10/2025 22:20

I'm ashamed to describe it thus;

Boiling water in cup, dunk bag twice and that's it.

Oreo07 · 25/10/2025 22:22

Bag in
water
bag out
milk

Plexie · 25/10/2025 22:25

6 Fortnum & Mason Jasmine green tea pearls in a large mug. Add water. Drink with the leaves in because it doesn't overbrew and I'm too lazy to take them out. Eventually put the used leaves in the compost bin.

Apfelkuchen · 25/10/2025 22:28

OneUmberJoker · 25/10/2025 22:10

For me
bag in
water
bag out
Milk

Correct. Were you watching ‘The Wheel’? It triggered a row here, DH was WRONG!

TheCurious0range · 25/10/2025 22:31

I prefer a pot with loose leaf but if it's just for me

Bag in
Water
Wait a bit
Swoosh bag about with spoon
Mik
swoosh again to make sure it's the right colour
Bag out

But I know you're meant to take the bag out before you add the milk really.

EnchantingDecoration · 25/10/2025 22:33

If it’s bag in cup:

Bag
Water
Wait a couple of mins
Bag out, squeeze gently so it doesn’t drip on the counter
Milk in.

Never add milk while the bag is still in the cup. I watched The Wheel too.

CatamaranViper · 25/10/2025 22:33

2 bags in teapot with hot water. Stew for 3-4 mins. Pour into cups, add milk.

My colleague only likes it if you do milk and suger (lots), then hot water, tea bags in, stir, bag out. It's awful and it hurts my soul

BiddyPopthe2nd · 25/10/2025 22:34

Water in
Dangle bag and swish around
bag out
milk

FrazzledHippy · 25/10/2025 22:35

Bag in, sugar in, water in, let it soak, squeeze, remove then add milk

yasbilybyas · 26/10/2025 01:00

Bag, a sweetener, water, leave a minute or two, milk, leave bag in whilst drinking 🫢

JudgeBread · 26/10/2025 01:03

Depends how bougie I'm feeling.

On a normal day: bag in random mug pulled straight out of dishwasher usually, hot water in, boggle the bag until desired strength achieved, bin bag, milk, done.

On a bougie day out comes the loose leaf. Hot but not boiling water, an appropriate steep time for the tea leaves in question, pre-warmed good teacups, a nice biscuit or two.

XenoBitch · 26/10/2025 01:16

Bag
Water
Leave for a few minutes
Remove tea bag
Milk
Leave tea on work top until it is luke warm.
Put in microwave to warm up, and find an old cup of tea in there already.

Funnywonder · 26/10/2025 01:34

Place tea strainer into mug
Add 1 rounded tsp loose tea
Add boiling water
Wait 4 minutes
Remove strainer
Add milk

or

Pour hot water into teapot
Boil kettle
Just before kettle comes to boil pour hot water out of teapot
Add 1 rounded tsp of loose tea per person and one for pot
Wait 4 minutes
Pour into mugs
Add milk

or … if for DP

Add boiling water to mug
Casually wave the teabag in the general direction of the mug
Add milk
Drink questionable contents of mug (clue …there’s virtually no tea in it🤣)

Snugglemonkey · 26/10/2025 01:48

I only drink tea in terms of hot drinks. I have 2 categories.

  1. need quick tea- put bag of decaf organic green teabag or peppermint teabag in cup. Boil until nearly finished. Pour on bag. Wait 2 mins and add a dash of cold water.

  2. Use my wee teapot with strainer. I love this. Pop speciality loose tea in wee strainer. Add boiling water. Infuse 5 mins. Pour. Be annoyed with interference.
