It was my first Janice Hallett and it put me right off. What of her others is worth it?

Edited

And mine. I have not wanted to read any more of her books because of it.

North Woods by Daniel Mason. Beautifully written.

I've just bought this book because it looked very enjoyable but I have not read it yet. It's good to see your recommendation.

How To Kill A Witch - Claire Mitchell & Zoe Venditozzi. Quite marvellous.
