I have heard from a few friends that there has been an increase in racial attacks since the Tommy Robinson march? Anyone know anything about this?

Are you not white? If yes I wouldn’t worry and enjoy a day in London. If no, I wouldn’t worry and enjoy a trip to London.

Squishydishy · 16/09/2025 17:31

youll be fine

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 16/09/2025 18:50

Ffs.

Silverbirchleaf · 16/09/2025 18:50

It’s fine.

BlueSkySunshineDay · 16/09/2025 18:51

I’d be more concerned about being outside London!

Meadowfinch · 16/09/2025 18:55

Keep your phone out of sight. Don't wear expensive jewellery like Rolex or Patek Philippe watches. Stay in well lit areas at night.

In other words, all the basic, common sense things you would do anywhere else. You'll be fine.

MidnightPatrol · 16/09/2025 18:57

London is the most diverse part of the UK.

~50% of the population is non-white, far higher in some boroughs.

MathiasBroucek · 16/09/2025 19:07

You’re being absurd

Comedycook · 16/09/2025 19:09

There's millions of people in London right now and a fairly high percentage are non white....so I wouldn't worry. I'd take ordinary precautions that you'd take anywhere when it comes to your own safety.

Motnight · 16/09/2025 19:10

Really??

LegoPicnic · 16/09/2025 19:11

No, it’s not safe at all.

All 9 million people living there, along with however many regularly commute in for work and leisure, are constantly at risk and living on the edge.

FFS does nobody have common sense any more?

LittleBearPad · 16/09/2025 19:12

Sigh

Bladderpool · 16/09/2025 19:14

Grow up op and quit scaremongering nonsense.

Holluschickie · 16/09/2025 19:18

I am brown, and my whole family is happily walking about London, including young adult DD. This is our city.

RidingTheTube · 16/09/2025 19:19

Where are you coming from in the UK that is more diverse and tolerant than London?

NevilleBigBottom · 16/09/2025 19:20

Well there are anti trump protests tomorrow. But if you’re not Trump you’ll be fine.

Letstheriveranswer · 16/09/2025 19:22

Judging by the photos there were plenty of black people on the march at the weekend, and they were fine.

LlynTegid · 16/09/2025 19:22

There has been an increase in racial attacks, including in parts of London anti-semitism.

However, the greatest risk you will face is from road crashes, which can happen in any part of the UK.

EternalSunshine19 · 16/09/2025 19:23

Most of the people on the march came into london from other places specifically for the march.
you don't have any thing to worry about, its a really diverse place.

PeanutGallerist · 16/09/2025 19:24

You couldn’t think of a username, @560934P?

🤔

MayaPinion · 16/09/2025 19:27

😂😂😂 WFT? Are you on glue? It’s absolutely fine. Just use your common sense. Tommy Tennames is nothing but a small town dog whistler who appeals to the hard of thinking. You’re safer in London than stuck in a lift with that gobshite.

BlackberrySky · 16/09/2025 19:44

London is massive so what goes on in what part could be completely different to another. But as PP have said, it's pretty much the most diverse place in the country so really no need to worry.

Pedallleur · 16/09/2025 19:56

It's the cold, dark North you should worry about. We file our teeth to points and will eat our own young.

MonGrainDeSel · 16/09/2025 20:00

London is probably one of the safer bits of the country atm.

labradorservant · 16/09/2025 20:15

I hope so. My DH and kids go there all the time.
