All you liquorice haters are why I can’t find my favourite flavour anywhere 😭

I like actual liquorice, just didn’t like the ice cream. I didn’t know what it was and I ordered it with mango sorbet and it was awful.

Any flavour made with poor quality or artificial ingredients. Cheap strawberry is just pink and over sweet. Cheap chocolate is just brown and over sweet. Cheap rum and raisin tastes like petrol. But any of those made with good quality ingredients is lovely.

I'm ignoring cheap icecream which is undeserving of the name.

My least favourite quality icecream is chocolate. The whole point of chocolate is that it melts on your tongue. Chocolate icecream is too cold and so pointless, it just becomes grainy so is bad chocolate and bad icecream.

Best flavours are the italian nut gelatos: hazelnut, pistachio etc. I also love fruity icecreams of all kinds (but not sorbet unless it's a lemon top in Redcar).

Agree — the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted was pistachio from a little place near the Vatican. To die for!

As a child I asked for what I thought was lemon ice cream because it was yellow and it turned out to be "pineapple" flavour. It had little bits of pineapple in and an overwhelming smell of pear drops. I got a spanked bum for asking for it and not eating it, and 40 years must have elapsed before I touched any food with pineapple in.

Rum and raisin, strawberry and banana would get a no, thanks from me.

The very synthetic mint choc chip ice-cream I got from a van in Windsor. It was so bad that after 2 licks I had to bin it. I never bin ice-cream , but this was the one exception.

Mind I forgot that I came home from work one day to find that my husband had made avocado and peanut butter ice cream. That was, well, an acquired taste.
