I wore my dressing gown this morning and made my first batch of vegetable soup. It was delicious.
What does Autumn mean for you?

It's dark,wet windy and cold and will stay like this for months and months.

Thinking that we should swap to the winter duvet when we change the bedding on Saturday.

I wore thick socks with slippers all weekend when I was at home.

The shops are full of Halloween crap.

cats are spending much more time inside!

I’ve started buying Christmas presents 🎁

• I've put a jumper on today rather than a top / blouse
• The central heating has clicked on on the thermostat a couple of times this week
• Half the leaves have dropped off the trees at the bottom of the garden, and they're currently whirling around the lawn making drifts in the wind
• I'm wfh and I'm bloody freezing!

We’ve had the log burner on and I’m making soup later

GBBO has started and we've had the fire on for the first time this weekend 😃

Greggs have got pumpkin spice doughnuts in, lord help us all ☕😋😋😋

I'm not keeping windows open all day when I'm at home!

I'm poaching pears in a slow oven and I've got my dressing gown on. I stacked the logs on Sunday, still more to go. Lit a fire to burn the summer out of the chimney.

I might get some twinkly lights.

I’m wearing cords and burgundy coloured clothing!

Had the heating on for a short while yesterday (mostly because we were away last week, so had a mountain of laundry I couldn’t dry outdoors because it was pouring down).

Removed all the summer clothes from wardrobes yesterday. Will be swapping out sandals for boots next weekend.

I've had to start hoovering the window panes each morning (Very old house with single glazing 😒)

Soup making, muddy dogs, log burner lit, DH wore his woolly hat on this mornings very windy walk!

Electric blanket back on bed for my cold feet, everything I wear is long sleeved now, and am awaiting delivery of a new deep mattress topper for some blissful comfort. It gets dark not long after 7pm here now, so for some reason, earlier bedtimes 🤷‍♀️
Def changed what shopping we are getting, more stew stuff, pie making ingredients and hot pudding ingredients. Popped the heating on for half an hour to dry smalls earlier on, it’s lashing it down outside so it had to be done! I like Autumn🍁🍂

It’s miserable, wet and windy. You can all feck off with your pumpkin spice and bloody oranges and yellows. Bring back summer.

People have started coming into the pharmacy coughing and all enquires seem to be about when they can get the flu/covid vaccine. Time to start getting sick as every other patient forgets to cover their mouths when coughing. :/
Staff are being asked to move all the cold/flu products to more easily accessible shelves.

Im away on a Greek island and its 32 degrees... told my daughter when she goes to feed my cat to put my heating on the timer... l will be bloody cold when I get home ... just looking at Flights to Lanzarote for next month.

It’s still summer until the equinox in this house! Summer is short enough as it is, please don’t make it any shorter. We are going camping this weekend and I was swimming in the sea last weekend! 🏕️

It is quite chilly though now. I don’t remember a recent September in which the weather was this rubbish!

I am contemplating going up into the loft to retrieve the winter duvet, but I fear coming face to face with a spd**r.
