Srinivasan can’t say for sure, but theorizes it would probably be done for influence and attention of their respective movement.
“It’s my understanding that there were turf wars over who gets to whisper in the President’s ear,” Srinivasan said. “[Charlie] was not just a rising star, he was already a huge star online, and in terms of, not just organizing online and on campuses, but also having a huge influence on the President and the President’s election.”
He says the Groyper movement may have a vested interest in elevating Fuentes’ incendiary and divisive politics further into the mainstream space previously occupied by Kirk and Turning Point.
@YankTank I found it a bit overly "convincing" with the amount of detail that has already been released to the media - towel, pinning down the type of gun - is that really what he'd focus on discussing in detail just after killing someone? It did sound a bit obvious. The only bit I could really understand was him saying he wanted to stop the hate.
I think I'm coming to the idea if there was any ideology behind the shooting it was about intending to fracture the far right - the engravings, etc. If Fuentes has somehow influenced Taylor then I suspect it was done online and with some sort of promise of this, when it has actually effectively taken out their opposition and given them a media boost.
I'm not going to comment more because whatever I post seems to be misconstrued.
