It’s interesting that the FBI are reporting that the suspect’s roommate shared messages with them that indicated his plans.

I’m a big fan of Laura Richards, a criminal profiler, and she did a recent episode of her podcast with someone who has researched mass shooters extensively. Aside from it being an almost exclusively male violence issue, they talk about other patterns that repeat in these cases, one of which is telling someone about their plans - they want someone to know what they’re doing because they want the notoriety.

Thanks @placemats He's waiting for the results of an MRI in June and then a follow-up. Unfortunately the follow-up appts are about 2 yrs waiting list...
