Good morning from the train home after seeing Fontaines DC with dd1 yesterday! We were, unfortunately, up and out of the hotel for breakfast at 7am so that dd's back to get to work on time.

I'm planning a nap when I get in after seeing every hour from 2-6 am last night <yawn>. It took us until gone 1am to get back to the hotel!

I'm not sure if dd2 wants to do anything after my nap, I'll ask her when I get in.

If not, there'll be washing/housework type things to be done, as always.

I'm having a noodle pot for my tea, but will make something for the girls if they want. If not, it's help yourself to whatever's there!

What about all of you? 🙂

Off to Zumba with a moderate hangover then need to tackle the shit pit that is my house after an extremely busy week at work meaning everything has been neglected.

Might try and get a game of padel in later. I really enjoy it but it’s so expensive for all four of us to go and play.

busy day today. First ever Pilates class in a minute. I’m nervous! Nip to the shops, then housework, then a bit of work.

there’s a great covers band on at our local so we’ll go and see then before we come home to do a crisp and wine pairing date night thing u have planned.

Good morning! We just got back from holiday yesterday, so today will mostly be exciting things like laundry, cleaning out guinea pigs and watering plants.

Although, dd’s friend’s mum has asked me to meet her for a coffee this morning because she wants to speak to me about something. She wouldn’t elaborate over WhatsApp, so I have a slight feeling of trepidation about that. I didn’t get the vibe that it was about something fun.

Good morning @lucysmam and Co, my usual Saturday morning here - the dogs have been walked and are both sound asleep, I’ve had my avocado toast and a big mug of coffee and I need to sort out the kitchen which is in a muddle and make a plum crumble.
Nothing else much going on 😊

Just done a wash. Currently watching some TV and will then get ready to work at my local football club.

Morning all! Hope you love your Pilates class @BitOutOfPractice. I’ve been a regular devotee for the last twenty years and am a huge fan. I’ve been awake for ages today already, even though I haven’t achieved much. DS has a summer job that starts at 7:30am and we drop him off, so our body clocks are all set to be up for the day at 6:10. Mine does not reset well on Saturdays hence my early start.

DH is walking the dog before tackling some garden jobs, and I’m going to have a shower and go for a walk into town for a change of scene. Might persuade DS to come along if I offer coffee and cake. I need to buy a card for a friend, and also want to call into our local cathedral bookshop for something.

Need to clean the kitchen later, then might have a lazy afternoon with my book. We’re making fajitas, guacamole and nachos for dinner, which is one of our favourite weekend choices that we haven’t had for a while.

I don’t know what we are doing today teens keep changing plans and they are in charge so who knows?

Just getting ready with my morning green tea while watching BBC breakfast in bed. Bit of nostalgia about the weather symbols being 50 years old. Showing my age (54) now. Desperate for a food shop so off to Lidl when I get off MN. Planning a short break/ night away as DH has a few days off tagged on to this weekend. We like to be spontaneous.

Trying to summon the energy to get out of bed, only managed 4 hours last night. Past week ive only managed 4-5 hours every night due to the heat.
Going to take back some amazon orders to the post office, and go shopping in a bit then probably finish reading Ozzy Osbournes autobiography.

How did the A level results go @lucysmam ? Or were they GCSEs? My stepgranddaughter is waiting for her GCSE results and is remarkably chilled about it.

Mr Dilemma is away for a few days, and I am missing him more than I thought I would, not least because I actually have to get up and make my own breakfast! I'm also remarkably bored! I was hoping my local daughter might invite me over as she knows Mr D is away, but no. He is back on Monday afternoon.

I don't have anything planned for today. I did the laundry yesterday. I might wrap my youngest daughter's birthday present. I ordered a present for my BIL's birthday a couple of weeks ago and it hasn't arrived yet - his birthday is on Wednesday so even if it arrives today it won't get to him by then. It was from a Facebook site so I'm hoping it wasn't a scam site... I checked it out and paid by PayPal so I'm hoping it is OK.

Less than 2 weeks left on my horrible meds, thank goodness! Then I'm hoping I will start to feel a bit better. It will be good to have a bit more energy.

Mr Dilemma is visiting his daughter and her family at the moment. He sees them for lunch, then goes back to the hotel for a rest before going back in the evening. Yesterday afternoon, while he was in the hotel, I ended up having a loooong text conversation with my stepdaughter which was lovely. She rarely leaves her house and NEVER goes on holiday, but I'm trying to persuade her to come down to stay with us for a few days - and I know she's seriously considering it. That is a win even if she doesn't actually come to visit.

We're going to one of those inflatable water park things. Daughter is back at uni on a few weeks so I feel like we need to get some memorable trips in 🥴

How were a level results?
Told dd you were going to see Fontaines- jealous didn't cover it! Her two friends where there and dd was on the mailing list for returned tickets, but no luck. She's currently winging her way to Wythenshawe park for Sam Fender tonight with her friend.
Sorting the house out today so I can watch 7hrs of touring cars in peace tomorrow on the tv. Spot of gardening too as its beautifully cold and grey here on the east coast this morning.

Good morning everyone. It’s my usual Saturday morning here, dh is at work, the washer is on and I’m sitting on the couch with a cup of tea waiting for the Tesco shop to be delivered. Dd18 is getting ready to go out with friends for the day and then she’s going into town this evening. She’s in a super good mood as she got the grades needed to get into her first choice uni so she’s officially moving 6 hours away in just 4 weeks time. I’m so happy for her but I’m going to miss her so, so much.

Dd11 slept at her friend’s house across the street and I’m waiting for her to wake up so she can come home and get ready as we need to do the dreaded uniform shop today. It’ll cost a fortune as she starts secondary in September so needs absolutely everything new but needs must. I also need to get my nails done whilst we’re in town as they’re super grown out and look terrible!

Tonight we’re having spicy chicken burgers, wedges and coleslaw for tea, dh is going to the pub with his friend for a couple of hours and me and dd11 will probably watch a film or just chill for the evening. I’m tired after a busy week at work then going to my friend’s for wine and a chat last night so I’m looking forward to an evening of doing nothing!

Also back from holiday here so LAUNDRY! First load is on and weather looks OK (bit cloudy at the moment but the sun should come through a bit later) so hopefully I can get the bulk of it done today. Tesco shop is due in an hour or so and I need to go down to the parcel lockers to post a Vinted order.

If I have the energy later I’ll try and do some damage control on my hair and skin after a few days of being battered by sun and seawater and chlorine, and give the DDs a deep conditioning treatment as they have long thick hair and it’s also looking a bit ropey. DD9 promised to give me a “spa day” yesterday so I’ll see if she keeps her word!

Morning all, we are jome from our lovely holiday in Croatia.

Had a few days at home, still a bit of holiday washing to do, but otherwise a chilled weekend ahead, before DH and I are back to work on Monday.

Premier league us back, so footie on TV at lunchtime.
I'm going to make rhubarb and ginger jam with rhubarb from the freezer, and do a bit of tidying in the veg patch.
There should be strawberries and courgettes to pick. The tomatoes have only just flowered so they are a way off yet, beetroots are coming along nicely and my golden raspberry looks like it might flower this year, it's only it's 2nd summer.

It's a bit grey and cool so no idea what the rest ofbthe day will hold.

Full fridge but tea will depend on what the teenagers plans are.

got my period and feeling a bit urgh today, got out of routine with the hot weather too so didn’t get out of bed until 8:30.
its my last few weeks of maternity leave with one year old Twinnies so today as feeling a bit delicate planning on doing the bare minimum lol. Will have a second cuppa, girls are keeping themselves entertained with their toys. Then pop them down for a nap at 11, sort the kitchen (currently looks like a bombs hit it!!) hoover the living room them find something trashy to binge!

Morning everyone! I am mid house clean not exciting but needed. Off to see my siblings new home later which is quite exciting for them! Need to buy a card etc on the way. Dc are coming with me to help unpack if needed. Dog needs a walk im hoping dc will do that. Prawn stirfry for tea later. @BitOutOfPractice i hope it goes well I’ve been meaning to be brave and try a class but keep backing out and sticking to a swim probably because I don’t have to socialise!

Good morning all. I am sat on patio having 2 nd cuppa and it’s already warm . Popping to get flowers for cemetery soon then home to potter about then we are out for a meal tonite as our friend is 60 and his wife has hired the downstairs of a restaurant with a karaoke for after meal . Good morning all! Some really great things to read about. I’m not feeling well at all due to drug side effects so haven’t got out of bed yet. I should be going to see my mum, if I get my act together in the next 30 minutes I can still go. This evening there is a memorial wild swim for a friend of mine which I’m hoping to feel ok for.

DP has got up, done a ton of housework including clearing up something killed by a cat and has gone to see his mum virtuously. Last night I cooked something new (cumin roasted cauliflower and carrot) so we might just do pizzas tonight.

I’m sitting in the garden drinking a coffee from my new coffee machine which I got as a leaving present from work a I start my new job on Monday.
I’ll be going food shopping shortly (never a good idea on a Saturday I know but didn’t have time in the week) then I’ll potter about indoors, take the dog out for a nice walk and maybe try and have a nap as I couldn’t sleep last night until gone 4am!

I love a lazy (ish) weekend.

@Flightyandmighty i survived Pilates and would Recommend it. I went to reformer Pilates as my gym has just opened a studio and it was great. Give it a go!

DC have gone to their dad's for 10 days so I am lazying around in bed. I've got to get up and hit Asda to buy some snacks for my birthday party later and for my best friends birthday parcel which I need to wrap up and post abroad.
Hoping the sun will come out as its quite grey... it will be sods law that the sun doesn't appear when it has been around all week!

Tomorrow I imagine I will be quite hungover so I'll probably cook some dinner and watch TV all day. Back to work Monday.
