Good Morning All! What's everyone doing today?

Good morning from the train home after seeing Fontaines DC with dd1 yesterday! We were, unfortunately, up and out of the hotel for breakfast at 7am so that dd's back to get to work on time.

I'm planning a nap when I get in after seeing every hour from 2-6 am last night <yawn>. It took us until gone 1am to get back to the hotel!

I'm not sure if dd2 wants to do anything after my nap, I'll ask her when I get in.

If not, there'll be washing/housework type things to be done, as always.

I'm having a noodle pot for my tea, but will make something for the girls if they want. If not, it's help yourself to whatever's there!

What about all of you? 🙂

@lucysmam I did thankyou!!

@lucysmam she's never seen the Fontaines . Missed out three times on tickets now.
Their hotel is Handsworth. They've been quoted 40 quid for an uber but that's between two of them. Hotel was cheap so it balances out.

Fingers crossed next time for Fontaines.

Yes, definitely! I didn't expect much from them tbh, with dd being 18 & wanting me to accompany her, but I've really enjoyed them 🎶.

Gosh where did the day go?
Now that sounds like I’ve been busy busy but totally the opposite. This morning did a bit of admin and after cleaning up the front as a fox had been through the rubbish - bag for some reason (ahem DD) left beside the big bin rather than in it - had salmon with rice for brunch. Was about to clean out dishwasher filter (we just got it repaired after it broke months ago) when my DD (20) appeared - she wanted to make focaccia for dinner and it’s a four hour process and she doesn’t like me being around. So retreated upstairs with good intentions of getting laundry done and more admin tasks but instead lay down on my bed with the two cats and dog and took a nap! DD is cooking the rest of dinner (pasta) and so yippee result (I don’t enjoy cooking). Then we are watching Twin Peaks; so weird, so wonderful.

@mondaytosunday my smallest cat likes to snuggle up for a nap, she was purring away when I had one earlier. Woke up to her brother climbing to stupid places though 🙄

Finished the day off with a game of Carcassonne, then sauna (proper wood heated one) and a dip in a cold rock pool in the river. Now I'm watching DD game, listening to my bloke's dad play the grand piano in the next room, and eating chocolate. Such a lovely day.

Blissful. It’s great when your kids are old enough to cook! My DD 21 is the same in that she likes me to stay clear of the kitchen when she is cooking.DH is cooking tonight so I am sipping wine in the garden as the sun has finally come out and listening to Liza Tarbuck on radio 2 who is just my cup of tea.

I'm not feeling at all hungry today (which is a good thing). I thought I would have a frozen chicken curry this evening, but it wasn't very nice so I just picked out the chicken and ate it with a small peshwari naan, which WAS nice.

I've just given the pots and hanging baskets a water (it is allowed where we live) and got myself very wet.

I had a nap this afternoon so I expect I will find it difficulty going to sleep tonight.

@lucysmam I hope your DD wasn't too disappointed in her results - she obviously did quite well since she has got into her preferred university.
