What's for Dinner Tonight?

Dunno about anybody else, but life seems pretty heavy going at the moment, any which where you look!

So, in the spirit of something that's often nice to think about, innocuous and interesting (well, it is to me, anyways!), what's on your menu for tonight?

Ours is homemade hamburgers and sweet potato fries, since DH and the girls are going out to see Superman tonight.

Korma, naan, rice, Bombay potatoes and onion bhajis.

I had leftover Chinese takeaway about 3pm and think I’ll be full all night 🤣

A nice, thoroughly lazy one. A packet of fish fingers, left over from Gdcs’ visit a while ago (so 5 each for me and dh!) new potatoes just halved and boiled, frozen peas.

Shit on a sandwich. Well, that’s what cooking dinner every fucking day feels like to me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Meatballs went in the fridge, ordered slim chickens. Kids came out the paddling pool, ate chicken, now back in.

Ham, egg, homemade wedges and baked beans. Berries and yoghurt for afters.

Chilli con carne with rice

Usually have with jacket potato but wanting a quick dinner tonight

Left over crustless quiche Lorraine, noodles with tomato sauce and cheese.

Both been doing manual labour all day so a very quick to make omelette and salad!

Mexican chicken, wedges and salad. It went down very well.

Spaghetti carbonara (from scratch) with leftover hot dogs as well as a bit of pancetta.
I wasn't quick enough stirring the eggs into the hot pasta, 2 pans due to allergies, so it was verging on scrambled egg, but tasty!

A Fry's Turkish delight for pudding.

We had braised cabbage with a chive and mustard sauce with beef ribs.

Think I'll finish with a Solero.

Trout with fennel, Asda recipe, and Lidl microwave mango chutney rice.

Salmon fillet in lemon and lime juice and a jacket potato. DC will have salad with theirs too.

Where can you get just ice cream 🍦 n the evening, do you mean an American style elaborate one? This is a genuine question by the way.

We have been cooking all day for my party tomorrow, so we couldn't be bothered with anything fancy tonight - just had steak and M and S chips.

@Goldenbeardo you not have ice cream parlours near you ? We have one in walking distance and about 4 places we can get a dessert (sundaes/waffles) within 10 mins in the car

We live near a little seaside holiday town (east coast of Scotland ) and there’s a fabulous ice cream shop that us open til 10.

We have an American style diner one as I am in a seaside place but it isn't really that near to me. Are they open quite late?

Oh right, that sounds lovely, I bet it's nice quality ice cream.

It’s fabulous! I went for scoop of mango swirl and one of strawberry cheesecake last time .

We’ve got an ice cream parlour in town and it’s great! I now want to go there 😁

We’ve been eating all day as had relatives over so no tea planned. Dc have just had pizza, I had a bowl of cereal and sister eating crisps!
