Trumplethinskin wants his Situation Room photo because it most definitely rained on his parade - Trump thread #145 | Mumsnet

Hi all, took a bit of a step back for a few days for, y'know, sanity and stuff. Catching up on things, thoughts so far:

Favourite signs seen in Scotland - "Obama doesn't cheat at golf" and "You were shite in Home Alone 2"

Saw the passive aggressive retweet of the "Obama car chase" meme with Fat JDV in a following car. He's very much putting JDV in his place and reminding him he needs to be quicker at jumping to his defence over the Epstein stuff.

Good extra TRIP US this morning, recorded yesterday.

Trump has now said that he is pushing for Beyoncé and Oprah to be prosecuted for being paid to perform at Kamala Harris campaign events.

It’s beyond belief, isn’t it? He is such a petty little man. After his recent performance on EU tariffs, I just cannot understand why EU leaders don’t just tell him to suck it up buttercup. If they were to take a united stand and tell him they won’t be bullied, he would back down, as he always does if anyone stands up to him. I just don’t get why the EU won’t do this. Am I stupid?

I wish they would. Trump wants the US to be isolationist... let them have it. I don't wish it for the lovely American people who know what a shitshow this is... but Trump just rides roughshod over people and whole countries and I can't stand seeing the sucking up to him.

I am watching and seeing a lot of what Bernie Sanders is saying at the moment. God that man talks sense.

At least the midges like him

The EU countries aren't universally happy about the trade deal. France is waiting to see if their wine will be tariffed, as the US is their biggest market.

However, Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission president, is facing a backlash from member states over the deal – which France and other critics have claimed is a humiliation for the Continent.
François Bayrou, the French prime minister, said the agreement marked a “dark day” for the “free peoples” of Europe, while Hungarian PM Viktor Orban complained Ms von der Leyen had been “eaten for breakfast” by Mr Trump.
Even Germany, which reluctantly supported the agreement, said it would still suffer “significant damage” under the pact.

pointythings · 29/07/2025 13:46

Well, he would. He has to sing his own praises, given that nobody outside his coterie of sycophants will do it.

DuncinToffee · 29/07/2025 14:04

He is claiming 5 wars today, not sure which war he has dumped.

I imagine the Telegraph had to type that with one hand ...

DuncinToffee · 29/07/2025 15:08

London looked really like a no go zone hell hole today, all those England flags and pink smoke........

He is claiming 5 wars today, not sure which war he has dumped.

And the article linked to lists three wars, one of which clearly has not ceased at all and one of which seems to have had nothing whatever to do with Trump.

Sigh.

RafaistheKingofClay · 29/07/2025 17:54

I think you are all forgetting all the wars that we don’t know about because they stopped before they were even started. So great is he at peace making.

RafaistheKingofClay · 29/07/2025 17:56

I mean, has Australia invaded New Zealand? No. But they might have done if it weren’t for the great and mighty peacekeeper.

DuncinToffee · 29/07/2025 17:59

The drill wars on Mars?

RafaistheKingofClay · 29/07/2025 18:00

Star Wars?

LlttledrummergirI · 29/07/2025 18:24

Scone wars?

RafaistheKingofClay · 29/07/2025 18:35

If he could settle that one then he does deserve some credit. Obviously the cream goes first though.

Trump: “People were taken out of the spa, hired by him [Epstein]. In other words, gone. I told him I don’t want him taking people. He did it again, I said ‘out of here’.”

Reporter: “Did one of the stolen persons include Virginia Giuffre?”

Trump: “I think so. He stole her.”

The use of 'stole', 'took' it's all about ownership

A reply to that

Here's the very disturbing part of this

The timing and Trump's knowledge:

Year 2000: Epstein-Maxwell "took" Virginia Giuffre from Mar-a-Lago

2002: Trump said most infamous line about Epstein being a "terrific" friend and liking "younger" ones

Only in 2004: Trump rupture with Epstein

Igotjelly · 29/07/2025 19:39

In 2000 Virginia was 17 years old. They’re talking about ‘ownership’ of a 17 year old girl. Just let that in itself sink in. Disgusting creatures.

DuncinToffee · 29/07/2025 19:44

Breaking on MSNBC: Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyers tell the House Oversight Committee that, if she's deposed, she'll invoke the Fifth Amendment unless she:

  • Is granted immunity
  • Is given questions in advance
  • Is allowed to testify outside of prison
  • Has her petitions to courts resolved

I hope she rots in prison frankly, in reality I foresee a pardon in her future.

So it definitely was Guiffre that he was talking about yesterday.

It’s quite telling that knowing what happened to her next the reason he ‘fell out’ with Epstein was because he stole an underage girl from his spa. Particularly when the phrase he used yesterday was that Epstein did something ‘inappropriate’.

Serpentstooth · 29/07/2025 21:36

I think owning and 'stealing' people is illegal in the Land of the Free and would commonly be referred to as trafficking.
