America is probably as corrupt as any of the other more recognisably corrupt countries, but there are many factors that go in to the success of a conviction.
We have also had many questionable guilty verdicts of the state vs [insert accused without an alibi] over here and many obviously guilty who have got off just from sheer incompetence of the CPS.
One thing that does stick out is how so many charges were thrown at him, how much resource did they have on building the case for each charge? Would they have been better to concentrate on the most probable to get a conviction?
Problem now is everyone knows he is guilty, the guy is nasty and has probably a mass grave of skeletons in his closet that we dont know about - but there will still be fans out there standing by their idol and what if he decides to not just drift quietly in to the night, but makes a big media circus about being falsely accused, hes the real victim etc. Meanwhile, his victims (mostly women) have to shut up and accept it as usual….And how many men in America will think its ok to treat women how he has because whats the worst that can happen? No good can come from him walking.
