I'm almost unable to react anymore as each horrible piece of Drumpf's jigsaw falls into place. DH watches endless streams of Dem-supporting talking heads going on and on about the latest affront to democracy but they're all just rearranging the proverbial deckchairs.

TRIP US a good one today. Mooch had an interesting take on the SCOTUS ruling and said that, apart from the headline, it was actually not a great result for The Orange One:

1. SCOTUS got the White House to agree to abide by any future SCOTUS rulings (granted Trump may well ignore this but it is a matter of legal record now).
2. The ruling pretty much signposted how to challenge Trump in a constitutionally correct manner, ergo a way that SCOTUS will back.

Worth a listen as I’m paraphrasing a lot, but Mooch said he’d spoken to several constitutional experts who agreed with his take.

Edited to add that they also pointed out that Biden and Obama had been frustrated by the fact local Judges were able to stop things at a national level so the matter is not merely left/right ideology.
