I was going to ask Haagan Dazs or Ben & Jerry's (I prefer HD) but then realised there are MANY other brands. I had HD vanilla caramel brownie yesterday for the first time and it's really good.

From the supermarket it's Haagen Daz, either strawberries & cream or salted caramel but my all time favourite is Hockings vanilla, sadly only sold in Devon where they're based Sad

I've never been to Devon but maybe I shouldn't make the journey 😂

I had some delicious hazelnut ice cream in Portugal recently that nothing else had completed to

Waitrose Millionaire
Mackies Honeycomb

Last year M&S did a tiramisu ice cream that I still think about.

Kelly's Raspberry Ripple. Or any raspberry ripple.

Waitrose No.1 Santo Domingo Chocolate ice cream. Their coffee one is also superb.

Lidl's own take on Cornetto, especially the mint ones.

Waitrose No.1 Santo Domingo Chocolate ice cream.

Yes that is lush. I got a £1.50 off voucher for it the other week. I don't normally like chocolate ice cream but it is very strong and very rich.

NormasArse · 14/06/2025 14:01

Notriannis in Blackpool. They only do vanilla, but it’s really good!

jay55 · 14/06/2025 14:02

Kelly’s raspberry ripple.

i also love coffee ice cream, my favourite being illy but I’ve only had it in their ice cream shop not in a supermarket

feelingbleh · 14/06/2025 14:04

Ben and jerrys phish food

Itisallgoingtobeok · 14/06/2025 14:04

ice cream now gives me migraines so I don’t eat it anymore. This is one of the great sadnesses of my life.

Perhaps I could ask for a volunteer to eat my share?

Eldermileniummam · 14/06/2025 14:04

The Waitrose one sounds good!

I must have tried Kelly's and Mackies in the past but don't really remember them making an impact so may need to try again.

I will 🖐

Mackie's vanilla
Mackie's raspberry swirl.

FuckityFux · 14/06/2025 14:15

Lidl gelato bourbon vanilla although most of the deluxe ice creams by Aldi and Lidl are superior to the brand named stuff imo.

Their chocolate ranges are excellent too although in Ireland, they’re made by Irish chocolate brands such as Skelligs and Lily O’Briens according to my friend whose relative works for them. Probably different in the UK.

daisychain01 · 14/06/2025 14:18

Rum and Raisin with a fan wafer I can't find it anymore though.

mybrainpills · 14/06/2025 14:29

I dont like ice cream but i do like ice lollies and slush puppies and ice poles.

ginasevern · 14/06/2025 14:37

Lemon or peach ice cream handmade in a little ice cream parlour in the backstreets of Naples, made respectively with fruit from the owner's own orchard. Ideally topped with a generous swirl of panna (vanilla infused cream) and if served before 10am, sandwiched between a freshly made brioche bun.

AdoraBell · 14/06/2025 14:38

My favourite is Waitrose coffee.

Other than that good vanilla.

WinterCarlisle · 14/06/2025 14:40

Carte D’or salted caramel is amazing. I can’t buy it anymore as I literally just eat the tub in a day.

There’s a tiny ice cream place by Viking Bay in Broadstairs that does banana and toffee ice cream. Bloody love that. Most banana ice cream is mixed with chocolate. Chocolate ice cream is WRONG (imho).

Soubriquet · 14/06/2025 14:40

Just a good classic vanilla for me

SisterTeatime · 14/06/2025 14:42

Home made coffee, using Hugh fearnley-whittingstall’s brilliant, foolproof recipe. M&S coffee isn’t bad.

Haagen Dazs Strawberries and Cream. It’s hard to find though.

Good quality Mr Whippy style.

Bodonka · 14/06/2025 14:58

From the shops? Nuii coconut and Indian mango (on sticks like magnums) or Hagen Daz pralines and cream.

However, there was a small sweet shop in North Wales that has since changed ownership, who used to sell a homemade malteasers ice cream that lives in my brain rent free 24/7

femininomenon · 14/06/2025 15:01

English Lakes Thunder and lightning, although I live near Blackpool so like a pp Notariannis comes a close second!

whatwasthatnoise · 14/06/2025 15:13

There's a local dairy that churn their own ice cream. Their cherry ripple is delicious.

Shop bought probably B&J Caramel Chew Chew or Phish Food.

Monkeytennis97 · 14/06/2025 15:24

@daisychain01

Titasaducksarse · 14/06/2025 15:30
