What's your favourite ice cream brand / flavour

I was going to ask Haagan Dazs or Ben & Jerry's (I prefer HD) but then realised there are MANY other brands. I had HD vanilla caramel brownie yesterday for the first time and it's really good.

Mastiha flavour 🇬🇷 , with rose as runner-up.

Mackies isn't actually vanilla! It's pure ice cream, no vanilla at all. It's fresh tasting and absolutely delicious.

Any flavour by a brand called brimore (I'm not 100% on the spelling)

It's so good,I'd sell my pfb (joke-shes 28 now and would take a dim view of me trying to flog her for a pot of icecream)

I agree re: Hocking’s ice creams 🥰. My parents are from N.Devon, and I have many lovely memories of our visits there, where numerous Hocking’s were enjoyed 🍦☀️.

Mackies - vanilla

Oddono’s pistachio or hazelnut (or both together)
Berthillon’s bitter cocoa sorbet, when I’m in Paris.
Proper Afghan sheeryakh with the delicate rosewater flavour and the crust of the clotted cream at the edge.

Any recommendations for low/no lactose ice creams? Swedish glace is all right, but just not delicious enough to be worth it.

Lakes thunder and lightning

I don't know the brand, but I had the most delicious blackcurrant ice-cream from a small shop in Bourton on the Water. It had such a full flavour yet creamy at the same time. I wish more places did blackcurrant rather than the insipid (to my taste) blueberry that seems to be everywhere in everything.

Favourite brand is Kolme Kaveri - 3 Friends. Its a Finnish brand started by, you guessed it, three friends. Their ice cream is all made in Finland, with local ingredients as far as possible, no artificial flavours or sweeteners or colourings or added air. All their ice cream is gluten free, including their gingerbread ice cream (with gf gingerbread dough), even have gf ice cream cones. My favourite flavour of theirs is the gingerbread house cone but I'm also keen on their hazelnut and chocolate truffle cone. For tub ice cream I love their cinnamon bun one. Only sold in Finland and Sweden at the moment but they are looking at breaking out into the international market so perhaps will be available in the UK one day.

Favourite ice cream flavour of all though is tar, but can rarely find it so I make it myself. Delicious.

We live by the sea so are lucky to have two traditional Italian ice cream shops locally (which may explain why I’ve gone up two dress sizes since moving here). The espresso flavour is probably my favourite but Jaffa cake is pretty good too. If it’s supermarket ice cream, I like Mackies honeycomb or vanilla.

Well it as Ben & Jerrys Phish food, but I no longer buy their ice cream after their affiliation with The Good Law Project and rejection of the Supreme Court Ruling. I’ll buy the Aldi ripoff Cheeky Monkey thank you very much.

Marsh field farm is good, you can buy it around here. Also good gelato in Sidmouth. From the supermarket I buy Lidl own brand expensive range

Couple of places near me make their own as they are dairy farms so no need for big name brands here.

My fav has to be Belgian chocolate by Haagen Dazs. Theres only one thing better than rich chocolatey ice cream, and that’s one with actual chocolate shavings in it too. Heaven.

I can eat a whole pot of it in one sitting

The Lidl tartufo pistachio are basically pistachio ice cream and chocolate ice cream and delicious

Hmmm it’s too hard to choose.
I like Ben Gerry’s cookie dough, snickers ice cream, magnum almond and the ones by Extreme.

Not a fan of any supermarket ice creams as usually they’re quite processed. We have two fabulous local gelato shops though - their Malteaser and strawberry flavours are to die for! I’m partial to sea salt as well.
