DS1 taught me 'Poohead' (bless the days he didn't want to swear in the house). But we've since forgotten how to play.

And every time we go on holiday we buy a new deck of cards with the place we are staying in on the back of the cards and they go everywhere with us - waiting to eat, stopping for a hot chocolate, at the airport. We just get the cards out. Kids also get a deck of cards in their Christmas stockings, themed on their current interests. I was beside myself with excitement to find an Iliad themed deck for Classics-loving DD.

We do also love Rummikub, but whist is the first love in our household. My kids card-count.

Skyjo is excellent. Dobble is pretty fun.

Not card games but we also enjoy Rummikub, Chain Chess, Scrabble, Junior Cluedo and Labyrinth.
