It's disgusting

I'm sorting my front garden. Some children and their mum walked past. One of the kids said she's doing her garden to. The woman looked back at my garden and said its disgusting.

I'm a bit pissed of because she doesn't know my life what I have been through or how far i have come. But I also not overly pissed of because she doesn't knlw that.

But im also thinking why you judging something that's clearly not finished. That makes no sense what so ever.

But mostly why is she saying stuff like that to her children about other people.

I agree, it does seem to be a jealous reaction. Could it be that you were doing something she could never even attempt to do I wonder, OP.

I feel like she probably owns. She seemed to snobby to not own and not to have a garden . But im judging now.

I feel like she would look down on council tenants.

In a way it feels silly she said one short sentence and im bangkng on about it.

It gets you like that sometimes though, unnecessary nasty comments.

You were working hard and achieving something. Even if she doesn’t have to do that, she could still feel resentful that you can do it. And she probably couldn’t.

Was at a country park a while back with my PomChi, a little girl who was with her dad said aww look at that cute dog and he said to her that's not a dog that's a rat! I wish I had said something but at the time was taken by surprise at the bloody cheek. Why teach your daughter to be rude to a stranger?

Sad thing is . If they think its ok to be that way . It can mess up their friendships at school etc .

Why say anything? .My mum use to say if you haven’t got anything nice to say don’t say anything 🤨Don’t dwell on it she’s obviously not a nice person.

Oh - then ignore it - it seems so odd that it's likely either something said from extreme distraction or that she has real difficulties communicating. Once we had a housewarming party and someone I hadn't met (husband's colleague's partner) asked if I was [my name] and when I said yes, expecting her to say hello and tell me her name, she just said 'I thought you were' and walked away! I just assumed she was odd and awkward and I'm sure that's the case here.

No it was 100% about my garden. I did/am ignoring . Its was a pointless comment anyway. Just possee me off that's all.
