It's disgusting

Youagain2025 · 30/05/2025 18:06

I'm sorting my front garden. Some children and their mum walked past. One of the kids said she's doing her garden to. The woman looked back at my garden and said its disgusting.

I'm a bit pissed of because she doesn't know my life what I have been through or how far i have come. But I also not overly pissed of because she doesn't knlw that.

But im also thinking why you judging something that's clearly not finished. That makes no sense what so ever.

But mostly why is she saying stuff like that to her children about other people.

Try to say to say to yourself “more they try to disempower me -the stronger I become“
this has been my mantra when facing similar dilemmas
we can choose to have bad situations or ‘growing’ ones-
worrying is a waste of emotional energy if we do the right things happen

Have no idea where your going with this. You seem to be talking about trans. This thread is nothing to do with trans in any way

Ha! I would find out where she lives and do the same sort of thing back to her! What a nasty woman! Her poor child being raised by someone like that too; I bet it's more negative than positive!

Her gardens probably tidy and perfect though. Wish I had said something. But its not me really.

"Tidy" and "perfect" gardens are crap for the environment. I love to see an overgrown garden, it's probably a haven for invertebrates. Honestly, what sort of an arse makes a comment like that about a garden that's being gardened? I know you've been upset by it, but really, try to put it out of your mind. I reckon your garden probably looks great.

I wouldn't find where she lives lol. Just a moan here is more than enough

That's your call OP. I wouldn't let it go without getting my revenge though...

I'm not upset about it. It just pissed me off 😅. More so because she said it to a child.

Oh I agree, and I certainly don’t want to hijack the thread. But if we can call for tolerance over a garden, why not for something as basic and fundamental as a persons identity? Anyway, this will be my last reply. Good luck.

@Steffie1993
Are you on something?
You have brought something very irrelevant into this thread.
If you want to discuss anything trans start your own bloody thread!

TheSilentSister · 31/05/2025 20:20

Could it have been she was about to step into a 'barkers egg' right at the moment the kids spoke, or something similar?

Mumtobabyhavoc · 31/05/2025 20:21

Find out where she lives.
Go there, wait til you know she sees you.
Take pics of her garden, measurements, take notes.
When she approaches, and she will, tell her you are getting as many details as possible to improve yours so it's no longer disgusting and does she have any suggestions. 🤷‍♀️

Only if you have copious time and are a little unhinged. 😁

Beautifulweeds · 31/05/2025 20:21

I really don't understand why or how some people can be so rude and insensitive. Now I'm older and wiser I feel pity for anyone who feels the need to be snide and derogatory, unpleasant traits so can't imagine them being happy in themselves. Xx

Yes it might be perfect.

I know a few people who have to have everything ( usually one thing in particular: housework or garden or their appearance, weight etc) “perfect” (ie; to their taste) and tbh they are generally not people I find particularly likeable.

I think there are two aspects to it.

Firstly, I think they worry everyone is as nasty, shallow and judgemental as them which is why they are terrified not to have things perfect.

Second, having put that work in, they have not had time to develop other aspects of their life so now place waaaay too much value on the results and get a disproportionate amount of their self esteem from it. This then fuels the cycle … they become more determined to make it the be all and end all of their existence so become still more wrapped up in it and even more shallow and judgmental.

Takes enormous willpower for me not to tell them how lame it all is .

Just do it for your own pleasure op and take no notice of the judgy idiots.

CyanMaker · 31/05/2025 22:08

You handled yourself very admirably. You seem like a kind person, even thinking about her kids being exposed to her nastiness. I hope you continue to fix up your garden and enjoy it.

Ugh she sounds like the local weirdo! Imagine being that rude for no reason!

ZiggyZowie · 31/05/2025 22:28

I just moved in,first thing I did was replace 3 3 ft chicken wire fence with 6 ft boarded.
Neighbour came rushing out saying " I don't want to be boxed in ! "
She has a view right into our garden so I don't want her looking in plus she hasn't any say since we're paying for the fence. !!
If they want some say then they pay half of it.
Anyway I need 6ft all round for keeping dogs in.

BeardofHagrid · 31/05/2025 22:37

I spend loads of time by myself doing the garden. When people walk past I can hear every word they say, but for some reason no one ever thinks I can hear them!! Horse riders are definitely the rudest and always have to say something 🙄 It’s not nice but I just accept it now. Hope you prove them wrong and your garden will come out amazing.
