Ugly passport photo (lighthearted)

Renewing my passport, and once again, boy do I hate how I look 😂
Used the online application but decided to get photo from booth just to be sure it was all good…once printed I knew they’re terrible just like the last few passports.
DD (aged 9), has happily told me I look creepy (also asked for the creepy shots to be hidden away)- I’m guessing it’s the dead eye glare 🤷🏽‍♀️😂
I also look about twice my age (self conscious now as to how I actually look compared to what I see in the mirror).

I’m beginning to wonder, am I the only one with this issue?

Every time I think, it’s ok, in 10 years time I’ll be able to change it! Here’s counting down the next 10 😂

Hi do you know you can actually take your own passport pics to do it online? I done it for my daughter took me quite a few tries to get a good shot.

Yes! But I thought it might be safer to get it done (it would probably have turned out as bad if done at home too 😂)

Good Lord, me too. I look like a man dressed up as a middle aged, very tired woman.

I practiced my " face " in the bathroom mirror which is quite bright .

So I knew just what angle of a lift I could do on my chin !!

I also wore a Hella of a lot more make up than I usually do at 12 pm on a Monday afternoon !

Still awful ...but I think I look alive 😂.

I went to the photo shop that do them .

Trouble is ...when I go for a 5 am flight ...I will look nothing like my photo 😂😂!!

I hear ya — a friend looked at my new passport photo and said “It looks like you just got out of jail and slapped on some lipstick”

Passport photos: the magical process where you go in feeling fine and come out looking like you haunt abandoned train stations.

I had mine renewed recently but went to the Timpsons kiosk in Morrison as I knew they give you the physical photos but email them to you also. I airbrushed my ‘youthful glow’ and toned down the redness of my neck and chest (in the throws of peri menopause here) and it was accepted no problems. I burned the physical photos 😆

I had my hair tied back the day I got mine taken. It’s in black and white and I look like I have practically no hair. It does not suit me!!

My passport photo is absolutely hideous. I really struggle with keeping my eyes wide open. My children think I look as if I have sniffed cocaine 🤦‍♀️

My perfectly lovely 26 year old daughter recently got hers done and looked like she'd been recently exhumed. Those of us who are older have no chance!

Mine's awful because I was incredibly pissed off about getting it done, having had a long extended argument with (now ex) dh about our passports.

Mine photo is past the awful stage its just wrong and should be illegal to even look at.
I dont have a neck its just a huge chin hanging down i mean HUGE with tiny eyes and no eye brows (over plucked back in the day) and pale i look like caspers sister with ears.
Dont no what happened to my lips just 2 lines now.
I look very scared or very shocked.
Quiet honestly disgusting and disturbing how people look at me in the street i do not know.

Even my 13 year olds passport photo looks awful. They're effectively a mug shot, with horrificly unflattering lighting and no smile.
Even a model would most likely look plan and dull in one.

I needed a new passport. Photo wasn’t too bad, afterwards I discovered a large head louse (the dangers of teaching). Spent 10 years looking at that it thinking, “There’s 2 of us in that photo!” The one and only time I’ve had them (it)!!

I am always amazed that passport control accept that the haggard looking person in my passport photo is actually me. How dare they think I look like that! Bastards.

God this reminds me of the time I got mine taken when I was suffering from morning sickness. Between my gagging the guy took my photo, he then asked me how urgently I need to renew and maybe wait a while before trying again… 🤢

Sadly no time so for the next 10 years I carried a reminder of how fucking god awful I felt in early pregnancy and got use to immigration officers actually recoiling in horror …

I looked like Jabba the Hutt in my last one.

I look like some sort of ogre in mine, I knew I wasn't the best looking person but bloody hell! I did my renewal at the post office so they took the photo. The lady said that there was a dramatic difference between the old photo and new one so 'they may contact you to confirm identity'! Last photo was taken when 26 and this one taken at age 38 (as didn't sort passport straight away after it expired).

I didn't travel anywhere on my old passport and highly unlikely to travel anywhere on this one. It was essential to me to have it for photo id though.

Aren't you meant to look like a sociopath on your passport photos? I'm sure its like, a rule.

A while ago I put on a ton of makeup and went to a booth thinking it wouldn't be too bad. Sadly my face looks like a mugshot of a woman suspected of murdering her husband. It would not look out of place on a true crime documentary.

When I renewed my driving license I put on another ton of make up and went to Snappy Snaps and it was much better.

My gorgeous ten year old's photo looks like one that would be used in an appeal for a missing kid in the eighties.

I always laughed at my DH passport. He is older than me and his non smiling face looks like he been put away for a long time.

Did my own renewal photos last month. Took over 25 attempts just to get one with my eyes even vaguely open. Got my passport back and thought they might have sent me the wrong one.
I look like the “before” person on 10 years younger.

I believe it's compulsory to have this type of photo! 😩🤣

No matter how good the actual photo is they make you look awful in the actual passport, they drain so much colour out of it I look white in mine. On my husbands passport his face is the same colour as the background, so it looks like he has a weird huge rectangular head.
