Thanks for the new thread. Just saw the news about Trump ambushing the S African president, what a disgrace. Really highlights how staged these meetings are.

Rumours around that the much publicised Russian ICBM test meant to have happened two or three days ago didn't go as advertised;

Trump told European leaders that Putin isn’t ready to end the Ukraine war because he thinks he is winning, according to three people familiar with the conversation…. It ran counter to what Trump has often said publicly, that he believes Putin genuinely wants peace.

Just one step further along the govern by entertainment spectrum…add in the ‘enhanced performance’ games and we’re nearly back to Ancient Rome and crazy emperors.

So a straight up admission by Trump that all his demands Ukraine spend its time and energy in some "peace process" have just been spinning Ukraine along.

That thought has occurred many times with the way that the media has been used as 'bread and circuses' and propaganda in the last years.

No surprise there. Moving from hard-wired to Internet-connected cameras is something that organisations and private individuals are shockingly gung-ho about IME.

It's cheap and feels so convenient... Until the light dawns that it's even more convenient for your adversary... but by then it's often too late.

At least this brings some clarity to the situation.
