New house! Gorgeous
but I’m still sad I didn’t get the London house. This one I’m not so sure about not that I’ve much chance of winning!

It’s in my village. It’s okay. There are nicer houses on that stretch. If I win it, I think I’ll still keep my little cottage and use it as a party house Grin

ooh this would be great for me, I really like it. How far away is the train station?

15-minute walk. 3 minutes by car.

teksquad · 26/05/2025 20:29

perfect, I'll leave my beach stuff there and get the train down and avoid the traffic!

ShyMaryEllen · 01/06/2025 19:10

It would be like living in a goldfish bowl with all that glass. People on the beach would be able to see straight in. I'd love to watch the sun come down over the sea though.

I wonder why they haven’t announced the winners of the Cotswold house yet 🤔
Normally it’s announced at around 9am.

NewAgeNewMe · 06/06/2025 14:19

Maybe people haven’t checked their emails yet. Not received one!

No they picked the winner last week and would have let them know last Friday. The winner is revealed the following Friday (so would have been today). Very odd.

They've released the winner video now

RitaAndFrank · 06/06/2025 17:38

Oh, thanks for flagging. I wonder why it took so long?

NewAgeNewMe · 06/06/2025 18:02

Was just coming on to say it’s been announced. Regrettably not me. Ahh well!

@RitaAndFrank Presumably as he was abroad ‘staying in a hostel’ in Spain? The blurb made it sound like the chap was homeless but he was on holiday. He’s only 25!!! I wish he’d won the London house or the Liverpool Bond villain pad and left the Cotswolds estate to a middle ager like me who would appreciate the boring countryside 😅 and pottering in the garden and the relatively bland furnishings!

NewAgeNewMe · 07/06/2025 15:33

Indeed! Though that London house had my name on it!

Yes I noticed that the blurb was very different to the reality! He didn’t even seem that excited either, I would have been crying with happiness 😆

Ziferblat · 07/06/2025 16:22

He looked quite underwhelmed! They ran the story late as he was sleeping off a hangover (hopefully - that’s what a healthy 25 year old should be doing).

When I first went to the Cotswolds, I was decidedly unimpressed. But over the decades, the Toryification of the brain has set in and suddenly tartan stair runners from Anta, taupe walls and chalk coloured planters look exciting to me.

NewAgeNewMe · 07/06/2025 16:38

Oh that’s made me laugh! Currently away with dh in the

Cotswolds. Also as we’ve grown older (60’s now) we have suddenly got into gardening. And the hangovers are definitely worse the older we have become!
