💐 @MrTiddlesTheCat My DM had a very similar experience to yours. Shoulder injury masking real problem for months. We had also got to thinking it was all psychological! I do hope your prognosis is good and that you are doing well.

My DH has been diagnosed with early prostate cancer. He has had biopsies (12 in fact, all at once!)

I will say the NHS have been great and they are really on the ball with prostate cancer where we are, so he is being monitored carefully and ... life goes on.

We're still waiting for the full lab report but initial findings indicate all should be good, eventually. I'm in Sweden so there was no messing around, just 2 weeks from call back appointment to surgery.

I think that's why they call it 'practicing' medicine. There are real no 'absolutes' when it comes to testing, diagnosing, or treatment.

Two doctors missed my DH's cancer. One actually put it down as 'stress'. The third doctor picked up on a 'tell tale' sign that the other 2 missed (or disregarded) and rushed him for tests, thank God.

Yeah well, the biggest "entertainer" is the 🍊 clown in the White House. 🤷‍♀️

Fans of Vir Das (and who isn't) will know that he skirted with an Indian law that made it illegal to criticize Indian leaders while outside India.

Hence his US shows being performed on a layer of sand he carried from an Indian beach.

DH is incensed. I'm on the fence. I can understand wanting a stable, secure life and future for your family, but on the other hand, don't back down - particularly in advance - has been their usp.

They'd better keep in mind his downfall and his death at age 48 from the effects of alcoholism.

I think that I see what Stanley, Snyder and Shore did as more of a 'gesture'. But a gesture that has little actual impact. If they'd been threatened or censured for teaching certain 'viewpoints' or subjects maybe it would have been more 'meaningful'. But who knows, maybe they truly thought that was coming.

They're two historians & a philosopher so I'm not putting it in the same 'light' as scientific or medical researchers leaving in order to continue research that will benefit mankind. Or to avoid having to espouse medical information or science that is full of lies and in some cases, downright dangerous. All of which has actually happened.

I wouldn't say I was incensed but I don't agree that they can influence anything from outside the country. IMO resistance has to come from within. (But that's easy for me to say, sitting in my "leafy London suburb"...)

Sorry about your DF @JoshLymanSwagger, my dad has prostate cancer too though thankfully the slow growing version - he was diagnosed nearly 20 years ago and it’s not done much so far.
