the captions are funny

helpwillalwayscometothosethatneedit · 03/05/2025 07:21

This is not real! He does not look like this in real life 😂

JadedVeryJaded · 03/05/2025 07:27

First photo 🥵🔥wowwww

Blingismything · 03/05/2025 07:34

Too greasy looking for me, also he has small eyes.

namechangeGOT · 03/05/2025 07:35

David is lovely now that he’s aged into his face!

Changeissmall · 03/05/2025 07:44

Never understood this one. He always seemed a bit muppety in the face. There I go being mean.
He’s a perfectly nice looking bloke but the extreme adulation is baffling. A bit like the claims Eric Cantona was a poetic genius because he stood out from the crowd and was a great footballer.

DissDissOrDiss · 03/05/2025 07:53

It’s a good article - lovely balance of fandom and piss take!

It's absolutely gross the way men objectify women.

And ogle them and their photos.

And it's equally gross when a woman does this to a man.

🙄🙄🙄

SummerDaysOnTheWay · 03/05/2025 07:59

The piggy little eyes and squeaky voice, not so much . But agree he is looking mighty fit in that first pic OP.

marvbandit · 03/05/2025 07:59

I’ve met DB and he’s just a small wrinkly man. I’m sure he’s got lots of super qualities but he’s not stunningly handsome. He just photographs well.

its not “ogling” it’s appreciating beauty. Like a lovely view. Nothing wrong with that at all. Some humans are beautiful. And given that he’s posed for a pic I his pants I’m not sure he minds a bit of appreciation.

MferMonsterSearchingForRedemption · 03/05/2025 08:02

Whatahardlife · 03/05/2025 07:09

Yes but OP's thread title was about him being " beautiful".
Not that he was " beautiful " even though he was 50.

This thread actually makes me really sad that again it's obvious some women think it's clever to emmulate the worst behaviour of men.

No wonder men get away with the dehumanising disgusting way theytalk about women when women are sinking to their level.

Bloody hell.

OP said he was beautiful. No one is taking about DB in a dehumanising and disgusting way. No women are sinking to men's levels here.

Would you be offended if a man said someone was beautiful?

SallyWD · 03/05/2025 08:15

I've never found him attractive. He's good looking but also average, if that makes sense. You can imagine him being the good looking bloke in the office who fancies himself and is a bit of a player.

namechangeGOT · 03/05/2025 08:18

While David Beckham strips off to a tiny pair of tight pantaloons and drapes himself across a chair, lighting reflecting off every single taught muscle the man owns, do you think he’s unaware that there will be women (and men) going ‘phwoar’ or do you think he was doing it because he wants us to admire the photography skills? It’s not even about advertising - you can barely see the piece of material he’s marketing. I really wouldn’t worry about objectifying David here or being ‘as bad as men’.

David wants you to look, the only way he could make the fact he wants you to look more obvious is by wafting his todger around your head while doing the Hokey Cokey.

TeenagersAngst · 03/05/2025 08:19

No, the Botox and turkey teeth are a hard no for me.

He is beautiful
OttomanJunk · 03/05/2025 08:19

He's also thick as mince which massively decreases his appeal IMO. Can't be doing with a thicko.

ZiggyPlaysGuitarrr · 03/05/2025 08:20

He's a handsome man, sure, but then he opens his mouth. I'm never attracted to looks alone and there's nothing on his personality that appeals to me.

Strangeworldtoday · 03/05/2025 08:21

Whatahardlife · 03/05/2025 06:41

Well if someone posts the picture of a man and states " he's beautiful" they are inviting comments on his physical appearance.

It would be similarly offensive to post a photo of a woman and invite people to comment on her physical appearance.

Why though? These people keep themselves very well for the purpose of making money off their appearance. The same as many people who spend thousands on their appearance to look good. There is a billion dollar global industry for making peoples appearances better.
If it were so offensive then everyone would just live with a completely natural appearance and not be worried about anyone else looking at their appearance and thinking they look good or not.
Pretty sure if David Beckham knew this photo of him looking sexy in his pants, whixh he posed for, for a nation newspaper, was being shared on mumsnet, he would take this as a PR win, not be offended.

Whatahardlife · 03/05/2025 08:22

SummerDaysOnTheWay · 03/05/2025 07:55

🙄🙄🙄

I'm sure your comment is very eloquent.

But it's fallen on deaf ears because my knowledge of emoji- speak is limited and I don't know what that one means.

Tbrh · 03/05/2025 06:39

I think it's fantastic, nice for men to be objectified for a change. Can't wait for a few more years when Jason Momoa turns 50 🤗😍😛

Yuck....Jason looks like a monster

Freysimo · 03/05/2025 07:00

Sadly he hasn't passed any of his attractiveness genes to his sons.

True, they take after pouty Victoria

ByPithyLemonBear · 03/05/2025 08:35

Oh come off it.

If a male forum posted a thread called "isn't she beautiful" about Martina Navratilova for her 50th birthday, I wouldn't give a shit. No one would.

That's not objectification.

It's far more likely that it would be a picture of some tennis player barely out of her teens and what they would like to 'do' to her.

It wouldn't be a female football player at all because the women get far too much abuse from male sports fans to start with.

It's offensive to even compare the this post with male objectification of women. It's pointing one aspect of a person in a respectful way. He's a handsome guy.

theriseandfallofFranklinSaint · 03/05/2025 08:55

FFS, it's early on a Saturday morning, does everything have to be so prim and proper on here? 🙄

Can't we just have a fun thread about appreciating the looks of a very attractive man (for some of us)?

Is your rule the same for men then ?

They can post photos of the women they fancy and discuss their looks and physical attributes and sexiness so long as they do it on a Saturday morning ?
