The duller the better!

I’ll start… I couldn’t decide which yoghurt to have, so had a few spoonfuls of both. Cherry, then Mango and Passionfruit.

I bought DH’s birthday present today. His birthday isn’t until January.

(The actual gift isn’t boring though but I’ve never bought something this far in advance for him LOL).

Natsku · 29/07/2025 18:01

But come January, will you remember you already bought him a gift or will you forget and buy him another? Like I may have done with the children's Christmas presents one year.

It’s gig tickets for his favourite band so definitely won’t forget. 😁

But that reasoning is also why I don’t buy Christmas presents early because every time I’ve done that I always put them away and forget about them. My record was finding some about 8 years later when we were moving house. 🙈

Natsku · 29/07/2025 19:20

That is quite the record!!

FawnDrench · 30/07/2025 19:10

I’ve noticed that, over the past few evenings, the nights are drawing in.

NotrialNodeal · 30/07/2025 19:14

It rained for 3 hours this morning, with occasional showers this afternoon and yet I still managed to get two loads of washing dried on the line. 🙂

coxesorangepippin · 30/07/2025 19:48

It rained

I had a ham sandwich for lunch

Tarkan · 30/07/2025 19:51

DD made my coffee in a Christmas mug today. It feels wrong even though it is a nice mug.

BitOutOfPractice · 30/07/2025 20:03

I forgot to take the forms with me for my blood tests today so I had to walk home and collect them.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 30/07/2025 20:52

I got a new wheelie bin. I've ordered some new bin stickers so it co-ordinates with my other bins.

Poddingtonpeace · 30/07/2025 23:16

I heard a VERY noisy plane go over my house. I decided it might be a military one from sound alone. Checked flight radar. It was a Chinook.

Empress13 · 30/07/2025 23:28

I picked a load of stones out the soil ready for laying turf

TitaniasAss · 30/07/2025 23:32

I ate a chocolate doughnut for the first time today. It was shit.

Thismomlikesknitting · 31/07/2025 00:54

I finished a diamond art painting I started this time last year.
I found it the most boring thing to do.

Maybe I should start checking flight radar as I get very noisy military planes flying over all the time and always wonder what they are. Though some people can tell just by the sound alone, which amazes me.

Tarkan · 31/07/2025 11:23

I can tell a few military craft by the sound (as can DH but he used to be in the RAF so he has an advantage there) but always check FlightRadar to see. There are a couple that sound similar so we like to see if we’re right.

I also follow friends’ flights when they’re travelling anywhere. Blush

notacooldad · 31/07/2025 12:52

Ive got too much make up. A lot of it is out of date, doesn't suit me, just got tatty. Same with beauty products. Ive been sifting through and chucking out.
Bloody boring but it needed doing.

Never looked at flight radar before. There's a bunch of helicopters with destination N/A, wonder what they're doing.

FawnDrench · 31/07/2025 19:02

I have bought a new kettle.
It is black.

EleanorReally · 31/07/2025 19:10

i had to pick up dd but my maps wasnt working, i got her to her appointment 3 minutes late!

EleanorReally · 31/07/2025 19:11

i always seem to hear very loud planes when i am in the woods, frustrating that I cannot see

Natsku · 31/07/2025 19:24

Very frustrating to hear but not see, like that on cloudy days for me. The rest of the time I run to a window or go outside to watch. Not sure if I'll ever get bored of watching planes go by.

MIL came round today with a watermelon. I guessed it weighed more than DD when she was born but then I weighed it to check and I was wrong. I guess my arms need calibrating.

Blingismything · 31/07/2025 19:59

I managed to upload my Tesco Clubcard to my Apple wallet today. Had a bit of trouble a few years ago so left it but it was fine today. Didn’t go to Tesco. Went to Aldi and Waitrose.

The ones around us that say N/A are usually just training and going round in circles or whatever.

We had a very noisy low flying non-military plane go over us earlier. Apparently it was apparently going from Lossiemouth to I think Northampton. Except it was going north over us so think it was either wrong or a bit lost LOL

Perhaps. They had come from a fair bit away to the west but looked to be looping back so maybe training.

Oh dear lost plane!

We had Aerobatic Championships flying over our heads at work last week, I kept going outside to watch every time I heard the noise. My workmate won the advanced class!
