The duller the better!

I’ll start… I couldn’t decide which yoghurt to have, so had a few spoonfuls of both. Cherry, then Mango and Passionfruit.

I planned to get my sandals out of the loft but the weather has turned nasty so I am not going to.
Can I also just say how much I love this thread, its the kind of dull everyday stuff that conversations with my much missed Mum consisted of.

Natsku · 24/05/2025 10:00

I sorted through DS's board game cupboard today to take out the ones that he's outgrown to give away. Now I just need to decide whether to give them away on my local facebook giveaway group, or take them to the charity shop, which is where I got them from in the first place - still got the price stickers on.

Itiswhysofew · 24/05/2025 10:32

Going to collect my mended bracelet from jewellers. Her name is Augusta❤️, (the name, not the jeweller; though she is very nice).

Just had a scone for breakfast.

How do you pronounce scone? I pronounce it as gone, even though I'm a southernerGrin I know it's complicated.

Apparently younger people than me, 58, pronounce it like cone.

madroid · 24/05/2025 10:51

@Itiswhysofew Rhymes with gone, like you.

I'm working up to getting dressed so that I can go into my garden and continue digging out the compost bin. Or could I do it in my dressing gown?

AllTangledUpInDaisiesAndDiadems · 24/05/2025 10:56

Thanks for the recommendations @MackenCheese @Coffeeishot!

SleepyRooster · 24/05/2025 11:01

I don’t think the new buddleia plant I bought will come into flower, and I spent £14.99 on it. It keep catching my eye on the patio, being boring

I no longer have a foot spa - I somehow seem to have lost it.

Try the loft. That's where mine has been for the last 20-odd years.

AllTangledUpInDaisiesAndDiadems · 24/05/2025 14:35

That's what I immediately thought too.

FawnDrench · 24/05/2025 15:49

Alas the foot spa is not in the loft.
I will doubtless get over this in the fullness of time.

AllTangledUpInDaisiesAndDiadems · 24/05/2025 15:52

It's one of those things you just cannot allow yourself to re-buy, heh.

Maybe at the very back of your deepest kitchen cupboard? Or right under the stairs...or on top of a wardrobe.

There's a good few weeks to go yet, so don't lose hope. Mine doesn't start flowering until the middle of July.

In other news, I went to the dump this morning.

Pancakeflipper · 24/05/2025 16:21

Got fitted for a new bra. I am the same bra size as last year.

On a highly irrelevant note I love the little independent lingerie shop near me. Best bra fitting. Makes a difference in reducing the sag of a certain age..

EleanorReally · 24/05/2025 16:54

went for a walk along the prom, the cafe was unusually closed and the public toilets are planning to start charging £1 a go!
not boring

under the bed?
given away?

BeNiceWhenItsFinished · 24/05/2025 22:01

DH wanted to watch the F1 grand prix qualifying stuff on telly earlier. I thought about reorganising my sock drawer, but incredibly, stopped myself at the very last moment as that would have been even more boring.

My laundry cycle has eight minutes left.

Did it have eight minutes left, or was this a case of your appliances lying to you... pesky buggers

Blingismything · 24/05/2025 22:47

I fed my friend’s cat as she is currently away on a golfing weekend. I didn’t see the cat so hope he is OK. I also lightly watered the pots on her patio as rain is forecast tomorrow.

Yep, 8 minutes but then an other 2 for the door to unlock.

BeNiceWhenItsFinished · 25/05/2025 09:35

This morning I went to a car boot sale. It started to pelt down with rain just as I drove into the car park, so I turned round and came home again.

EleanorReally · 25/05/2025 09:35

my egg broke while i boiled it,
very disappointing

Natsku · 25/05/2025 10:27

I ironed my clothes this morning.

I only iron my clothes (and DS's formal shirts for when I dress him up nice), everyone else can do their own ironing if they want, which they don't.

BeNiceWhenItsFinished · 26/05/2025 17:17

I have been weeding the garden and now I have backache.

XenoBitch · 26/05/2025 17:44

Took advantage of half price electricity and washed and cooked all the things!

EleanorReally · 26/05/2025 19:00

standing waiting for dh in the shop, a grey/white man with curly hair got out of his van, i did a double take when he walked by me, he looks like Plato!

Gotback · 26/05/2025 21:57

I brought the cat in from the kitchen where she was sulking. She's now asleep on the big pouffe.
