I've just read that the Australian and New Zealand dollars are gaining on the American dollar. That's very unusual during market turmoil, when they normally get sold. And that's even the the Reserve Bank of NZ has just cut interest rates.

Australian bonds are now outperforming US bonds.

This isn't how declining markets normally behave.

I do hope this turns out to be the orange man's career ending lemon.

I am the same. And there is no way Trump will win against China. For all his blustering and bullshit, it will be impossible. In China everything hinges around 'saving face'. It is entrenched in their culture. They will not back down under any circumstances for, to do so, would mean harming their reputation, their honour and their dignity.
Trump is on to a loser here. All he is doing is feeding his pathetic ego, so he will lose whilst coming up with a load of bollocks that he hasn't.

I see China is looking for support from the EU. I wonder if there’ll be greater economic collaboration there, in exchange for China reducing it’s support to Russia (and selling their weapons to the EU instead)
