A thread for Gogglebox fans. Who are your favourites?

I only started watching this a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! I don't think there is anyone on there that I don't like.

My favourites though are Pete and Sophie, Jenny and Lee. I like Giles and Mary but I honestly don't know why she's with him, she clearly can't stand him. Steph and Dom were hilarious. They are literally all such lovely people.

It's such a warm, cozy programme.

Used to love sandy and sandra.

I like Joe and Roisin (Glasgow couple) and wish they were on more. I’m Glaswegian and their humour just really appeals to me. They remind me of most of my pals 😂 I like the Siddiquis and Dave and Shirley.

I can’t stand Pete and Sophie. Odious little creeps.

I like the Siddiquis, The 3 brothers . Jenny and Lee and the Welsh couple . Can’t stand Sophie and her brother as it’s seems very contrived. I like Giles but not sure about Mary

I don’t like Glaswegian couple and I’m from Glasgow, too much swearing , my favs are Pete for his sharp one liners I like the South Shields young girls as you never know what they are going to come out with next.
I find Mary extremely odd she can be so cold hearted then if late Queen was on burst into tears over nothing it was so ridiculous! Mind you Giles would probably drive anyone mad.
The Siddique family are lovely not keen on the older couple man’s called Ronnie pretty boring don’t add anything nor the posh new family that live in the barn.

I like most of them but not sure about posh sauna family. I think they're just a bit ill at ease at the moment, especially the mum. I'm not keen on Danielle and Daniella but the bit when their dog jumped up at the sofa remains one of the funniest moments. I want the Geordie girls to go back to the other one's house so we can see her Samoyed again, what a gorgeous dog. I'm here for the pets tbh.

All a bit lefty and playing to the gallery apart from Mary and Giles.

I really like Danielle and Daniella, especially whichever one sits on the left, she's funny.

I cannot bear Jenny and Lee. So set up and performative, and Lee's 'jokes' about Jenny are often mean. I won't name names but some of the Goggleboxers seem incredibly thick and I don't like to watch them either.

My favourites are the Siddiquis, Giles and Mary, Pete and Sophie, Helena and her parents, Simon and Jane and Roisin and Joe.

Pete and Sophie seem nice.

Don't like Jenny and Lee. So fake and I can't stand Lee's false laugh.

Pete and Sophie have grown on me.

Amera and Amara I think their names are,are just naturally funny.

Think I've watched every episode. It's my comfort show. The Siddiquis, Pete & Sophie are my faves. Dave and Shirley live not far from me and always see one of them in Asda.

It took me months, if not years to realise that Giles is actually winding Mary up on purpose when he says daft stuff to her. He's so deadpan when he does it, I thought he was just odd 😂
They are very entertaining though, makes me laugh when she puts her head in her hands and says things like " Oh Giles, if you don't stop I'm going to have to get you sectioned" 😂

I can't stand Shirley. I don't live that far away either and she makes me cringe with embarrassment that I'm Welsh. All that "shittin hell" and "shittin' this" and "shittin' that" just sounds awful. And she's so thick! Not in a funny way like Abbie, just a really irritating way, like "how can you be your age and have got through life and still be so dim" kind of way. Sorry, I know that's mean but she just winds me up, I have no patience with her.

@Pandimoanymum She seems nice though. She volunteers in a charity shop. Like you say, she's not very articulate. She's nice but dim.

Saw an old black and white photo of Mary and Giles online and they were pretty glam ‘ back in the day ‘

Alison and George live near us, occasionally see them in Aldi. They seem so lovely, down to earth and straight laced both on the show and IRL, then Helena will deadpan something absolutely filthy - proper crude, puerile, teenage boy humour - which cracks me up months later.

Abbie and Georgia - proof that they really do live among us. I'm amazed they manage breakfast everyday.

It's so funny reading these responses because some of you don't like my absolute favourites, which makes no sense to me! So a good reminder that there's lots of different tastes in the world 🩷
