A 'Full English*' or Big Breakfast

Basically a fry up.
What does your one consist of?
And how do you like your eggs?

Planning one for tomorrow.
For me -
Sausages
Bacon
Fried mushrooms
Fried/tin Tomatoes
Scrambled eggs
Granary bread toast

Accompanied by glass of juice.

Just finished...
Back bacon.
Sausages
Fried egg (scrambled for the kid)
Grilled Tom's
Beans
Potato waffle (it's dinner time,.so allowed)
Cheap white thick Sliced bread and proper butter.

Other fry ups may contain...
Black pud.(not for me, but OH likes)
Mushrooms (for me only!)
Fried bread
Toast
Tinned tomatoes
Hash brown, rosti... or chips! 😮

I’d rather just have a plate of hash browns and beans! Maybe a sausage or 2. I don’t like bacon or black pudding. Actually, I’ve never tried black pudding but I’m not about to either.

I’m watching 4 in a bed and contemplating a fry up for dinner. It will have:

maybe mushrooms if I can be bothered

DH will also have square sausage and black pudding with his.

No one has mentioned bubble and squeak yet. I’d rather have that with a fry up than hash browns or potato waffles any day

Personal preference:
bacon, fried eggs, fried tomatoes, fried mushrooms, sausages, baked beans (in a little separate dish - this matters to me), buttered granary toast. Mmmmm

I don’t like beans, black pudding, or mushrooms and not overly keen on bacon.

A proper fry up for me is:

But DH is veggie so our standard home fry up is:

If I've been to the right butchers recently, then a slice of square sausage with black pudding in the centre of it because heart attacks are for wimps. No tomatoes, no baked beans, because both are the excrement of Satan himself. God i love a fry-up, though sadly Mounjaro has ruined it for me!

No beans, tomatoes or potato products. No sauce apart from English mustard.

I love a cooked breakfast, though prefer it for lunch than when I first get up.

Sausage, bacon, poached egg, mushrooms, tinned toms (or beans - don't mind either or both), lovely thick sliced toast.
Big mug of decent strength tea.

Oatcake is an absolute must

I like scrambled egg sometimes but more likely to have that with just bacon or smoked salmon on toast

I think the further South you go, the less likely it is to find it. In Newcastle, haggis and Lorne Sausage are easy to find!

Followed by a couple of hours on the sofa, groaning with my stomach!

Whatever happened to bubble & squeak? We used to have that a lot with a fried breakfast when I was a kid.

Sausage, bacon, poached egg, mushrooms, fresh fried tomatoes, fried bread, orange juice and strong coffee.
Now I’m hungry 😀
