How do you pronounce forehead?

Fore-head or forrid?

I’ve always said fore-head but I’m currently listening to the Harry Potter audiobooks and Stephen Fry says forrid and it’s really annoying.

Which is correct? Or is it one of those regional things? (I’m in Lincolnshire)

Forrid and I try to get my children to pronounce it like that but they refuse to do so!

From London originally, still in south east.

4head

At school (a London Prep) I was taught that Fore-head was American English.

Forred, unless it’s a really big one, then it’s a fivehead

Forrid. I'm Irish and family always said it like that, and I hear it quite often in the NW in England. Not as frequently as I used to though!

Actually, now I'm saying it out loud and it's more "forr'd" than "forrID".
