Ryan Air Debate

Myself and a friend are going away for the weekend next. We are flying with Ryan Air. And have both decided to take the small 'bag under seat'. The question we are debating is: can you have an additional small shoulder bag that you can carry onto the plane ?I said surely it must be allowed but she is adamant that it is not allowed.that hand bags have to be squeezed into this back pack. It doesn't give any information on the web site. Plus I am getting different opinions from different friends.
Thanks in advance.

Never been an issue at Gatwick,or anywhere else

I have been flying a few times a year for 40 years and have never put my inhalers in with my liquids. Nobody has ever questioned it.

We went with Ryanair last month and they were completely anal with the priority lot measuring all the cabin bags and charging them £75. Lots of "yes I know you paid for a bag but you paid for a certain size and this is bigger so you need to pay". Then us plebs who hadn't paid priority all walked on with it out them. Giving 2 hoots about bag size. I assume they have targets to meet and the priority ones are easy targets.

Not allowed, but more often than not my small cross body has never been noticed to be honest. If asked, squeeze it inside a pocket in your backpack etc. You can just carry it as usual and in case you are asked at the gate to pack it in, take a sweater or book out of your bigger bag and find space for the small bag instead.

Thank you all so much, really appreciate all your replies. The body bag is an excellent idea. I will probably go with this as I need an inhaler. But watch this knowing Ryan Air I'll probably get caught and have to pay another 45 quid. Ive been sting before with this airline.

Please don't try and take a body bag thought security....at least not an errm occupied one 😂
