Naughty gift for husband - risky ?

I have seen those necklaces / bracelets where you peer into it and can see a photo , or shine a light into it and it projects it.

I would like to get my husband one - but I would like it to have a bit of a naughty photo of myself in . I think it would be funny and he would love to wear it knowing he can take a peek and see it 😂 and also knowing that’s what is in it when it just looks like a normal bracelet .

But - this would obviously mean me sending that photo to a company , and that scares me!

Has anyone done anything like it ? Is there a safe site that does that ?

It wouldn’t have my face in - I am not putting that out there …

Or is this a really silly idea ?!

I sort of did this, but I sent a picture of a lettuce with the outer leaves removed...

TheresaMayBuff · 28/02/2025 22:29

Farage got one of me running nude through some wheat - I say make that wrist Strong and Stable!

Vatsallfolks · 28/02/2025 22:32

That sounds really cool .. no face ? Then don't worry .. just lovely to hear someone on MN with a lovely relationship with their DH for once !

Maitri108 · 28/02/2025 22:32

I have never taken nudes because I don't want photos of me out there but if you don't mind who he shows or what happens to the image, go for it.

Please do make sure he doesn't leave it on a train. Pesky things these commutes, lots of important bits and bobs go awry.
It's a disgrace. I'm sure Liz would agree.

Thank you ☺️

Definitely no face ! I trust him completely with it but there would be a photo of me with some company somewhere …

I absolutely 100% trust him not to show anyone else.

I have to admit I wouldn't do this. Up to you, but it's a strong no from me.

I kept on rereading the first sentence and kept hoping that it would make more sense, but it doesn’t. @TheresaMayBuff You might need to start your own thread 😅. Sorry OP, hope I haven’t derailed your thread, but I think it would be unwise to send a risqué photo of yourself to a company. You could, however, have a sentimental photo you’ve taken together that you look back on quite fondly.

bunnypenny · 28/02/2025 22:46

A bracelet or necklace? Wouldn’t it be a bit difficult for someone to wear it and then shine a light through the correct bit to see the photo? So he’s holding his wrist or his neck to a torch or he has to take it off to see?

The shipping address or banking info will have OP’s name etc. so even though there isn’t a face, there’s not only a risk of data leaks, the item getting stolen, there is also a link to possibly identify OP.

ItsaMOBone · 28/02/2025 22:51

If you want randoms from the jewellery company perving over you, yes. Otherwise don’t. And is your DH a jewellery person anyway? Won’t the item look a bit naff potentially?

strawlight · 28/02/2025 22:51

I thought you wrote “those necklaces / bracelets where you pee into it” and was equally bemused and disgusted.

Pinkdreams · 28/02/2025 22:52

I would do it, ok some company has your photo, firstly they aren't allowed to use it/share it, secondly they wouldn't want to, people who do that care about high profile/celebrities, not any old Larry

Wrongsideofpennines · 28/02/2025 22:54

I have just had to Google what these are but they actually look like normal jewellery just with a small charm for the photo so nobody else would know.

If you think your husband would like it then go for it. I can guarantee this would not be the only nude photo the company will receive!

Farage?? 😮

Onlyvisiting · 28/02/2025 22:57

Definitely not.
You might trust him not to deliberately show anyone, but can you be 100% sure that there is no risk of him taking it off anywhere and it getting left, or someone picking it up to look at it? Like on the handbasin at work, or in his/your parents house? Or if he is ever hiding a child that they won't grab at it and look through it?
I'm obviously a pessimist but I can imagine so many scenarios where it could go horribly wrong 😅.

I'd at least want it to be a non explicit photo. Like in underwear or one of those where someone is clearly naked but sitting cross legged and behind something so all important bits are obscured. I still wouldn't do it though!

AllTheBestUsernamesHaveBeenTaken · 28/02/2025 22:59

@CalicoPusscat My thoughts exactly 😂

tallhotpinkflamingo · 28/02/2025 23:08

This is going to be a real surprise after you both die and it's passed on to your kids.

Or donated to a charity shop for an unsuspecting innocent.

Moier · 28/02/2025 23:14

Oh do it..
Long before the Internet and on line ordering.. we took photos to be developed.. myself and my friend took photos of each other in sexy lingerie../ basques / stockings etc some topless ..
Boots developed them.. we bought a photo album .. put the photos in and gave to our husbands for valentines... the amount of photos that get looked at.. doubt anyone will be bothered looking.

recipientofraspberries · 28/02/2025 23:16

I say go for it. It's fun. Especially since you're not intending having your face showing. I personally couldn't get too worked up about someone accidentally seeing it, either.

I didn’t even think of this ! It honestly didn’t cross my mind !! They would have my name and address as well as the photo ..…. I think that’s probably made my mind up

Honestly they’re like £30 , I don’t think it’s lasting that long !

Everything would definitely be covered … just not too much 😂
