AF and Worra come from the old old days when MN used to be a much smaller place and a lot of people were well known because it was a much smaller group of people chatting/contributing. There were many well knowns some of whom were very popular (for good reasons!) like them.

Both great, I miss them.

Why post, then, if you know the thread is likely to be one that annoys you?

Why shouldn’t people post about fond memories from a decade back? Why is that “fawning” rather than, say, finding a moment of joy in a sea of shitty news about war and politics?
