I'm just changing my username on here and wondered if you've a favourite that you've seen?

That was a great thread - one poster especially ordered from Ocado because everyone on MN said that Ocado drivers were fit but then someone turned up who looked like “a jacket potato with currants for eyes” - I was postpartum when I read that and nearly passed my cervix I was laughing so hard.

Opened the thread to say exactly this. If you're out there, Unexpected, I still think of you sometimes at the self checkouts.

For ages I didn't get WorraLiberty, because I was reading the Worral as a word, like The Wirral. So I read Worral-eye-Bertie and was perplexed.

There was an anaesthetist called ‘gasman’ (I think) many moons ago. Loved atyourcervix and Sirchengin.

Not a Mumsnet one but the best username I have ever seen was a poster on a yachting forum I used to use who was called Sail Bad the Sinner.

I like the ones that pun on celebrities' names, like TawdryHepburn and ValiumSingleton. But my favourite is BroccoliSpears.

AnyFucker picked her name because a lapsed poster started a thread saying she hadn’t been on MN for ages and didn’t know any fucker any more. So AF name changed and said “you know me”

AF and Worra come from the old old days when MN used to be a much smaller place and a lot of people were well known because it was a much smaller group of people chatting/contributing. There were many well knowns some of whom were very popular (for good reasons!) like them.
